We need a new way of doing things, that removes private investment. The system does not work. We need to work for the good of all, not the few. We all live on the same planet, yet people are concerned with making money, and war. We should be thinking how we can create a world that supports and nurishes all life. Just look at the destruction and suffering around us, not just to man, but nature and animals. How can we continue to promote and support this way. It has to stop.

I thought the labour party wanted to re-nationalise everything. Now he talks about inviting the private sector to invest most of the costs developing great British energy. This will need people like me buying shares in great British energy to fund it. And I'm sorry to say the SHAREHOLDERS who invest want a decent return. And how can labour make it any cheaper creating this white elephant when he's been slating the government for reopening the North sea gas taps. Someone tell him most of our energy needs (gas) will still be imported, thus we are dictated by the price on the market. Conflicts around the world affect prices. Fear Starmer has NO clue.

Private companies who have non-profit subsidiaries for public infrastrucure contracts do very well in Europe. Some even invest their overflow into UK private companies. That's how, for example, the German transport system have an efficient system with fares being 40% less than ours.
Big insurance companies, like AXA, run sections of the health service, along with grants for people who use fitness centres to improve their health and well being, again more efficiently.
What do they get out of it? They employ vast numbers of well paid employees, all paying tax, free PR and advertising, along with tax breaks for reinvestment.
Is Starmer the one to do it? . . . I doubt it.

The Forde report clearly showed antisemtism was used by the Blairites as a factional weapon, which is why Starmer buried the report and his faction never reference it anymore. A total of 50 people were expelled for antisemitic comments/actions which, at the time, was a 0.05% incidence rate - lower than every other party and amongst the public at large.

So, where is the saving, where is the benfit to your harebrained scheme? And that's on top of vandalising our remaining energy reserves.
