Holy hell, I forgot this mod existed 👀 Huge thanks for playing through! Now, facts 'n stuff, as usual ;) -Nah, the mod is fully released, but it had no beta testers, so I couldn't be certain if certain parts should be redone or not -Yeah, driving around the connected map is pretty lame, so I tried to somehow stitch the story together, so it's not boring, repetitive AND is seamless -I usually give players a clear indication when they reach the checkpoint. The "Task Complete!" Line gets replaced by "Checkpoint!" In this case 👌 -I originally planned to place the swap stations around all the phonebooths, but I got scared of exceeding some of the game's hardcoded limits, so I ended up placing only a couple, near plot-relevant locations -Also, the characters costed around 100 coins in earlier versions 👀 Decided that'd be too tough, especially with all the cars you need to buy, so I removed the cost -Nah, I didn't do anything to the textures. Might be a part of the nighttime connected map resources though -Dialogues were a thing in earlier drafts too, but I decided to replace them with text popups to avoid any instance of swapping your character and crashing the game by initiating incorrect dialogue -YES, GO FOR THE TOM JONES MOD 👀 We need more episode-based mods to be fair, hell yeah -Yup, the buses are from Road Rage exactly 👌 -The laundry part originally featured following the "laundry van", collecting the falling clothes, and then arriving at the stash of clothes to collect even more...yeah, sounds kinda stupid -There were originally 5 witnesses, but they all decided to glitch randomly. And I couldn't fix it properly, so, explosive Lenny it is 🤔 -The timetable part originally featured cameras, but I decided it'd be repetitive for the next mission -There was a problem with the respawn trigger at the cemetery jump, it would respawn you INTO the ground, so I just deleted it -Yeah, apologies for all sorts of grammatical issues :/ sometimes I just overlook stuff or get an article wrong, without realising it, yeaaah -The Bart's room kerfuffle is, uhmm, I think a part of the nighttime connected map. That being said, I should've fixed that, but didn't for some reason, apologies -Camera triggers are exaggerated, and there are TONS of them. Also, Blender started eating so much RAM it stopped being funny to edit the mission, so I won't probably adjust those 200 triggers again -Oh yeah, I originally planned for the player to solve 3 chess puzzles in Burns' backyard, I even got the models for the bishop and the rook done! But realised that would be too extreme -Originally, you had Hit & Run since the start of the chase with Burns, but you do drive through a very narrow tunnel, which makes avoiding the cops impossible -Three missions, actually, the eight one was the tutorial 👌 Once again, huuuge thanks for playing through! It has a element in the game that I'd love for a sequel, the whole character change system, if we were to ever get a SHAR sequel, I'd love for it to incorporate the system we see in this mod
Talking of Simpsons episode recreations, in the game Lego dimensions the Simpsons exclusive mission is actually a Lego recreation of the episode where Homer hallucinates after eating the worlds hottest chilli - dimensions is easily my favourite of all the Lego games with the massive character roster and all the different worlds you can explore
