Jared Allen for where i grew up was our version of getting out. long snapper from U of I to Hall of Fame defensive end making a great run on the chiefs Vikings and shout out the super bowl run with the panthers. it was a dream at the time still heart broken that Payton manning and von miller dismantled that team.
I met Jared 3x when I bartended summers at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri bk in the day. He would always be with former Chiefs d lineman Bill Mass and they were LIT each time I saw them.
I'd say totaling 136 sacks is thst much more impressive when you realize Jared Allen did all that whilst smoking 7 packs per day.. lol all good fun... just imagine having to listen to a comp and allen Bussin with Bronchitis audio only episode 😂 love the pod, keep 'em comin
Jared Allen is my all time favorite player. He was such a beast, been a Vikes fan all my life and the first jersey I got as a kid had his name on the back!
I believe most SEC schools are wet campuses whereas I think most Big10 schools are dry. That would help improve the game day experience. Also, a lot of SEC games are afternoon games or night games which improves the atmosphere. Big10 games, even tier 1 matchups are like 12 noon kickoff.

I listened to this episode when it first came out, and I think the most interesting part was the talk about heaven. It really had me thinking. I PERSONALLY think heaven is when people pass on they become the best versions of themselves when they were alive, but have to wait for the people they knew. They still keep an eye out, but wait. And when we pass the same thing, we reunite once again with loved ones and close friends. That segment really hit me, I was thinking about my father. It’s only been a few months, but damn pops I still wish I could call you everyday. I ain’t the most religious person, but like to think if you have a good heart, there’s a spot for yah.

Mormon here. Also big Bussin’ listener/fan. Enjoyed a few laughs listening to the convo. Been in many locker room situations, or even now as a fireman explaining Mormon beliefs, and answering questions from interested friends. Gotta say a few things though, Jared Allen is a boy no doubt… I mean he wore 69, dawg. But, the bit about the handshake stuff was wack… Muslims aren’t “cultish” for praying on prayer rugs, Jews aren’t “cultish” for wearing yamakas…and if you mocked/mimicked them doing it, it wouldn’t be chill and that’s pretty understandable..it’s not a secret, it’s just something we hold sacred.. also the Pepsi thing is bullshit hahaha that’s been a myth forever. We play it up and keep the joke running. My mom is 65 and has had a 32oz big gulp of Diet Pepsi every morning for the last 50 years.
