This level was full of so many awful design choices lol There are good ways to make Metroidvanias. Invisible floors, offscreen walls and ceilings, invisible ladders and paths, empty space, leaps of faith, and broken fights ain't it
Some ideas were good, others not so much, but at the end of the day, what was lacking was execution. Take for example the Flame Man rematch. The oil was placed in an interesting way, however it's ruined by the ladder. And that My pardners is Why You only use Doors/Teleporters to exit arenas.
You don't need to limit it to doors/teleporters. You can use a ladder to exit a arena too, but make sure its in OFF position (red/blue ladder) that gets enabled with for example a weapon block. Or outright blocked by a weapon block.
Honestly, this does remind me of an actual Megaman level. And am I getting a hint of Wily Stage 2 Glitch in Airmans Stage since the background is the sky?
Try changing your Jump key to another one instead of Z if that's what you have it at. Like instead of Z as jump, change it to something like X to Jump and reconfigure the rest as you want.
Oh, goodness. This level has a little bit of _everything_ I don't like! Forced waiting, secrets that are _mandatory_ to clear the level, boss weaknesses that make no sense (Rolling Cutter vs. Stoneman?!), massively-open spaces, no land markers, no sense of direction, poor level planning, completely pointless items you can't reach, _big, empty spaces…_ It's a delicious _cornucopia_ of bad level design~! It would _absolutely_ be in the Top 10 levels of a _Make a Good Mega Man Level_ contest, guaranteed. v: *Edit:* 16:58 - _Why would you do that._
