That really is a great find, even for a disappointing translation. And the extra paperwork make that a no-brainer.
Nice to hear your youngest making her TH-cam debut!

She had her own concerns to express! That printout took me back to the early days of buying online, huge nostalgia trip.

Wow that's a nice find! Never seen that binding before. And the box came with prizes!?

The warranty card and sales printout were the cherry on top!

It wouldn't be quite so bad if it simply said Parent. Instead, it gives the impression of two parents; Metzger was right to criticize this kind of translation method.

It leads me to wonder what theological implications other changes they made might have; it's definitely a concern. Parent would be a safer choice.

It was an interesting find but not something that I would read. Still, I enjoyed your video.

I enjoy it for how unique and interesting it is and the issues it brings up, but no not one I'd read.

Yeesh, this translation looks bad. Even the Contemporary English Version from the same year and even the Living Bible/TLB (which are two of the lesser versions IMO) still called God "Father" and kept Jesus' male pronouns.

I don't find it to be very readable, it's too clunky and unnatural. The Living Bible does some wild things here and there, but I can read it!

@@ThriftStoreBibles Agreed, the wording is way too clunky to understand in this translation.
