Thanks! Drones give such a great perspective of the area.... really allows the viewer to get a sense of the scale of the place.

The locals REALLY appreciate anyone who tries to speak. Even "buenos tardes" goes a long ways. And yes, we hung out with Johnathan and Whitney a bunch in La Paz. Awesome people!

Finally got to watch this episode (too much "life" getting in the way)! Great job guys! Every aspect of this one is good. I'll bet in the depths of the PNW winter you are missing these days in Mexico! Wishing you both a merry christmas and all the best for 2024! Sail on Maya!

I like the look of the different tiles around that gazebo and around the town. The water doesnt look that cold to swim in unlike back here in Washington. Looks like your having an awsome adventure.

It's a wonderful place! We'll have to plan a trip there- we gotta get our butts in gear with this La Ventana project!

Mac and Jenny, what a wonderful experience! We really enjoy following your great adventures. We also sail with our dogs, but we could never leave them on deck. As goldens they’d rather be in the water than not in the water so we have to leave them in the cabin! Thanks for the video! Jeff and Fraser on S/V Storm Petrel

We are very lucky that Disco doesn't like to swim.... that is, unless there's a ball in the water! Thanks for watching and lovely comment!

    RE: Depth sounder
Like airplanes, every component on a boat comes with an anxiety detector. The purpose of the anxiety detector is to relay to the component the degree of distress failure of the component will transmit to the master and crew. Many components have predictive anxiety detector routines that allow them to determine how much distress the master and crew will experience at some future time of failure. The chance of failure correlates directly with the amount of distress such failure will cause.
All evidence points to the fact that the anxiety detector is a sub-molecular device invisible to the naked eye . . . or the fully clothed eye or X-rays or destructive inspection. The anxiety detector shares kinship with the printer scrambler that will jam, tear, or misprint important papers on the day they must be delivered. There is evidence that both are offspring of the copier malfunctionator. None can be turned off or disabled by God or man.
I have multiple experiences with the anxiety detector in the air and on the water. When I say I feel your pain, I really, really do.

Always good for a reality check when something fails. Adapt and improvise and don't lose sight of the goal! Appreciate the comment and you watching.
