Yes! then there is that 3rd equal angle in there in the form of vertically opposite angles.
AAA doesn't exist Google it
If 2 angles are equal, the third is automatically equal even if they weren't opposite angles.
Angle BCA = Angle ECD by Vertically opposite angles
Since AB and ED are parallel and BD is transversal, angle ABC = angle CDE by alternate interior angles
You can also mention vertically opposite angle
I have another method
angle BCA = angle ECD ( vertically opposite angles)
AngleC = angleC ( common angle of both the triangles)
When two angles are equal then the third angle is also equal ( angle sum property)
So two triangle are similar by using AAA similarity
Hence proved

Good stuff. I would have started with the two angles where the lines intersect, but it doesn't matter which way you go with this, because those two angles by the interesection are the same whether the outer lines are parallel or not.

What about vertical angle theorem?
This is so easy:
First, angle b is congruent to d as when a transversal crosses parallel line, alternate interior angles are congruent. angle a also congruent to e for the same reason. Angle acb congruent to dce as vertical angles are congruent. This now fulfills the angle-angle similarity criterion. Solved by 6th grader.
