EDIT: For anyone reading this, disable "Legacy IK solving". This setting is ON by default...and it completely breaks quest 3 emulated full body tracking. Dunno why but after toggling that off everything is perfect now. Hey Hakari I got an issue getting this to work. I believe you're using Virtual Desktop with "Forward tracking data to PC---> Emulate SteamVR Vive trackers", correct? My issues is that after doing the T-pose for calibration in VRC the tracking seems to work only if I don't move my body 180 degrees i.e. what you did at 5:39. If I do that, the upper arms "twists" and get stuck within the avatar chest until I return back to the initial position. I'm not sure if all the avatars I tested had broken bones or something. Does the tracking on your end work fine even with the free/featured vrc avatars? Did you encounter an issue like this and had to change some VRC settings? Or do you suspect something is broken on my quest 3? I bought it used and I've been fearing that I got sold a defective one or something since I've not been able to get it to work like in other tutorials that are around. Those seem to say that you only need to enable the 2 settings I said before and none report this weird issue :/ thanks for reading, any help is appreciated
I appreciate the time taken for this! I am currently using a bunch of jank for full body. I would like to take out the jank and replace it with this simplicity here. Looks good enough to me for what I do. Thanks!
Pretty sure he did, and now that the feature is available in the current version all you need to do is launch VD turn on the option in "streaming" and then launch SteamVR and you should see virtual trackers and that's it.
Hey mate, I like the videos you've made to show off VD. How are you swapping between no body tracking and body tracking without relaunching steam vr? Thanks!
I am getting so frustrated I've been trying to get this working, but the only guides on getting into the beta are dated and following them doesn't work anymore for a couple of reasons. I checked out the discord link but there are no guides there either, this video just jumps right into VR chat assuming you have it all set up.
You turn the trackers that VD gives off for the lower body or keep on the hip tracker if you want and keep the upper body trackers on. and to turn off the trackers for vd you go into the steam tracker settings and switch them to hold in hand. hope this helps :)
@@HakariKimura got it! It like messed up everything at first lol. I had to like restart everything and task bar stop Steam VR but eventually it worked lol.

2:44 you absolutely can use standable legs with quest upper body tracking. More so you can mix and match trackers with new standable version
How? Everytime I did it would make both standable and VD not work!!
how?
@@Jupiters1337 still waiting lol 😆
very cool that meta drops a banger update sometimes (new sub)
Yessir and thank you ❤️💪🏼
Nice showcase of the upperbody tracking! Although I think you know which headset I have my eyes on 👀 😂
Nice video 👏 it really shows the difference
Yesss I say it's worth it if you already have a quest 3 and PC or laptop
is there a way to get that with steam link without having to buy virtual desktop ?
Maybe using your phone to watch your movements and track as you move?
okay thanks for saying it doesn't work with standable. i was looking for that answer.
No worries I got you fam🙏🏼
With Standable V2 you now can combine it with quest 3 tracking
Yep you can imma have to figure that out😭
Do i need to use my pc to run this or can I do it with just my quest?
Need a pc/mac/laptop connected via wifi or direct cable to run virtual desktop on your quest
do you have a video explaining how to set this up?
Pretty sure he did, and now that the feature is available in the current version all you need to do is launch VD turn on the option in "streaming" and then launch SteamVR and you should see virtual trackers and that's it.
Tutorial video please!! Looks so cool, wanna try it 🤤
Could this be combined with slimeVR tracking you think?
Hey mate, I like the videos you've made to show off VD. How are you swapping between no body tracking and body tracking without relaunching steam vr? Thanks!
In the quick settings at the bottom it says allow full body tracking. Hope it helps.

Furry spotted! 🚨
Can I get a totoral
that for quest 3 only ?
does it work for quest pro? thanks ^^
I was able to combine with standable tho, so it is possible and work great.

Enable OSC and you can calibrate
it's only on quest 3? Or i can use quest pro?
Are you able to play vrchat with this just without a pc?
You dont need a pc to play vrchat but if you want tracking like this you'll need a pc
steam vr
Does the quest pro also have upper body tracking?
