pistons could be broken in such a way and create a barrier like block. Dead bushes and shrubs are basically the same item, same uses, texture and functions. but shrubs replaced dead bushes at some point in time so people who had them in their inventory had "illegal items" cuz dead bushes arent obtainable in survival anymore.

A shulker filled with books. Singular written books on anarchy servers are great for leaving behind detailed stories about your bases for future players without needing to put down a bunch of signs- or if you're poopboob, a base coord hit-list.

Even on servers other than 2B2T, some of the things I've learned about items and how they can be used I apply on singleplayer or other multiplayer servers. It's crazy how just a random minecraft server can make me rethink how I play minecraft in a way. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Carrots on sticks are also extremely useful in command block creations as being one of the only blocks that you can right click and nothing happens. Makes it a perfect thing to detect for an event

That Ender Crystal thing sounds like it would actually be quite useful in normal Minecraft conditions, too.
It is , it's just there's not really a lot of intense combat in Minecraft.
PvP is more of a sport rather than for survival reasons, so you need a server where there's a use in killing someone in the world.
But man, ender crystal is absolutely OP on regular servers :D. No one expects it.

The book thing is the exact same thing as what happened with the PSN, where people hacked the messaging system to be able to fit way more than they should in private messages. using specific characters The one who then received and opened the message would have their console crash/brick because of the amount of data the console would have to process.
