Hi, Lauren! I just stumbled upon you thru my search for Gel Plate, and Collage videos. At this turn in the art road, I'm drawn to doing collage, and in tandem, Gel plate printing. I'm an artist of some 50 years or so....in N. Atlanta. And I have NEVER learned that simplest of techniques of soaking the paper to get it to lay flat! KUDOS! You taught an ol "cat" a new trick! I do every medium on earth - except for: watercolor, batik, and gouache (welll, ok maybe acupla more, like cave painting, and vooodoo doll quilt-making???). Anyway, I WISH you would set up a TH-cam channel dedicated to your art videos! I would SOOOO subscribe! I love your short, sweet, and info-packed videos!!!!! Please say you will think about it? Thanks and hugs, cat

I collage A LOT and I didn't know about wetting the paper so it wouldn't wrinkle. I usually work the wrinkle into my design....however.....this was great. thank you.

Glad it was helpful! I soak magazine pages a bit longer than on the video- You can tell when they are saturated enough- they get floppy. That's if I want it really smooth. Yes, sometimes wrinkles are wanted! Now we have a choice- smooth or bumpy! :)
