I had the last shape Outback and never needed to rev the engine high as in this video. In any driving mode you just set off normally, then increase pressure on the accelerator as your speed increases and it picks up far quicker and easier without flooring it. CVTs are not designed for hard acceleration, they work far better the way I just mentioned. No road situation should need you to red line this car.

Cabin sounds very quiet. Good noise isolation.
I like this car. Bit out of my price range at the moment but it’s a good all rounder. I had the previous model Outback until I lost my job. A superb car, quiet, relaxing and quick enough even without a turbo. CVT is an art form, takes a while to get the best out of it but once you do they are such great transmissions. Worst thing you can do is floor the accelerator and keep it there. Engine will rev itself to bits and you actually make far better progress by increasing speed gradually, matching CVT to engine speed. Works brilliantly like that without everything sounding strained, even joining the motorway. Too many drivers haven’t a clue how their cars work and expect every car to perform in the same way.

Jeździłem tym autem naprawdę super oprócz silnika (słaba dynamika)
Its not supposed to be a fast car. If you are used to any car with a turbo, either diesel or petrol, it wont be the same. Its designed for relaxing smooth progress. I had the previous shape Outback and never had any problems getting anywhere, never needed to floor the accelerator, you let the engine speed rise while matching the CVT, but some people just dont like the way it feels. Doesnt mean there is anything wrong with it. People think you need lots of power to get anywhere, nobody has any patience these days. I really don’t know how today’s drivers would have coped in the 1980s when most cars didn’t have a turbo and even the likes of the Mk2 Golf GTI only had 115bhp. Too much expectation these days. Drivers seem to think every car should be fast.
Ale nikomu ze "znawców" nie przyszło do głowy sprawdzić czy samochód ma na tyle długi bagażnik żeby można było się w nim przespać? To samochód mogący jeździć w terenie a więc w sam raz dla , na przykład wędkarza lub innego turysty. W kółko tylko czy miękkie plastiki i takie tam bzdury...
Да,было бы не плохо.
А то приходится таскать с собой рулетку.
