Bend Oregon is a beautiful place and Northern California is amazing I am in the Air Force and have now driven across the country twice as well as driven through Canada to Alaska. Northern California still has some of the most beautiful scenery as well as so many things to do. From boating on the lakes to climbing 14,000+ elevation mountains to camping in the redwoods. It is truly an outdoor wonderland. No one expects the awe striking beauty that is the Northern part of California and the southern portion of Oregon. Can't wait to watch you two experience it all for the first time! Good luck and have a blast seeing all the places!
I’ve recently found you via Demolition Ranch. It was nice to see wrenching on the International and less talking to the camera. I hope XPO come good and get your stuff delivered. Can wait to see the rest of the adventure. Good luck.
I'm in the U.K.and I don't think that I've ever seen an International in the mental but because of you guys I love em! I'm so jealous of you boys. Call it the snot goblin, I've got a chest infection at the moment and the colour of that sweet International looks familiar!
Man those were some very clean edits once the music started! Whoever does the editing, superb job! And I can’t wait to see this thing rolling! What a fun adventure you guys are putting us on!
Man I wish I would’ve known you was not far from me. I would have loved to have gotten to see you both. Been fallowing you both from demolition ranch! Diesels are kings!
Make sure you prime the engine and get oil pressure. If not you will wipe the cam bearings out, especially since it has been sitting for so long. The transmission in the 1969 D series is not great and parts are super rare. It is technically a Borg Warner 11, but some FMX parts will work. Good luck guys!
could keep name simple and in Texas fashion by instead of the International Travelall call it the "International Travel-Y'All Edition" the International Ultimate Overland Edition that you think you've seen but never heard of or could call it the International Travel-Over-Y'All
I've been so excited about this "endeavor" that you guys have taken on. I've been a long-time fan of Ben's and International because I have a '60's model Scout at my dad's ranch, that's now mine, that I really want to get running again.
First off you are right that Metro is really cool, second this series is starting out great and I am looking forward to more. Glad you are coming to Washington where are trees do not smell like pee.
If I lived and worked closer I would definitely help out shipping. I ship LTL regularly. Unfortunately, Montana is too far from you. I enjoy watching you guys
I hate to admit this , but I always considered Internationals as a bit of a joke . But after watching you guys , I have developed a strong respect for them . I turned wrenches for 40 years , and never realized how well built that they are ( probably because of the fact that in 40 years I only dealt with one or two of them ) . I actually wouldn't mind building a off road International now . ( maybe a bug out type rig . )
I worked for a company a few years ago that relied on XPO to deliver daily transfers M-F around 0200-0700 on a loop from the Portland area, down to Eugene, and back up (8 stops). The amount of missing items and stuff that was late was ridiculous!
Hey Willie - get a message to your friend/host there @ 406 and ask him, on behalf of all Veterans out there, to turn his flag around please?? When hung vertically the sea of stars should be in the upper LEFT corner! Love your content sir!!!
Glad to see y'all made it! A little less volume on the time lapse video (kinda loud), but looking forwrad to the next vid! Can't wait to see the start of the road trip 🤘
You guys need to drop a line when you need stuff. I live near Seattle and my daughter lives past Portland. I got a truck and it would be a good excuse to see her. Give me a hat maybe a shirt I would be in it.
When I worked for a Toyota dealer, we used XPO to ship transmission cores, hybrid batteries, the airbags from the recall.. They were super unreliable. Never showed up to collect when they said they would, the shipment would always take longer, leaving warranty/customer claims open with a core balance. Was a nightmare.
i think a fitting name would be "SAGEBRUSH"-they are the dominant plant species across the Great Basin. The range extends Northwards towards British Columbia's southern interior down into Baja California & east into the western great plains of New Mexico, Colorado, Nebraska & the Dakotas. They are an extremely rugged species. 👌
The urine smell is natures GPS telling you welcome to Portland. When you get about 15 miles or more away the urine smell and BS subsides and things begin to improve.
I vote for the name "Kryptonite" because it is green and the Holden Bro's are to weak to resist buying old IH's
Call him "BUB" PLEASE.
Matt's "Pearl" should be called Kryptonite. 😂
Shorten it and call it krypto
Nailed it
Bender, since they got it in Bend,Or.
With that sweet green paint and patina and immediately thought of Sweet Pea.

Customer service is a mythological thing these days.
The first thing that came to mind when you asked about a name for the Travelall was Sweet Pea

Name it “Mr Papagorgio”, from Vegas Vacation. Cause you can’t lose with this truck.
You are correct...the smell of Juniper and Ponderosa...smells like that when either wet or pollen...
Great looking truck!! Hope you get your pallet soon!!! Good luck!! It is all fine.

SUB-LIME sounds like a good name 🎉
i used to work for xpo here on the east coast, make sure you check everything out they are knowed for alot of damages😱
Oregonian here, the "pee tree" smell is the smell of the juniper trees in Eastern Oregon. Western Oregon doesn't have that smell 😂
such a cool truck... Buzy Lizzy
That has "Squatch Hunter" written all over it.
Keep it up guys can't wait

I will never give XPO driver's courtesy on the road again. God bless Holden Brothers !!!!
Thanks guys! Great vid!
Awesome video today guys.
Split pea soup is the first thing that comes to mind.
Find you a flat spot on the concrete and mill that exhaust manifold like a real IH mechanic would ! lol
Great video 👍

That thing is so rad. I hate LTL freight. So expensive and things always come damaged it seems.
oregon local here…juniper is probably what youre smellin and youre lookin at the 3 sisters mountains.
Keep grinding.
It should be called " Haul All " . Because you can load it up with anything you want !

Name it " The Forester" Because you picked it up in a Forest!
The "Green Meanie" from the animated Sgt. Pepper
You are correct! My dad always called them piss ferr cause all the ferr trees smell like piss! 😂
I went to high school in that area. The trees that look like pine trees and smell like pee are call juniper trees you are in the Oregon high desert

Sounds about right with XPO, not the way to go if you want things to show up on time and intact.
snot goblin gets my vote

You always get the insurance. Drive it like you stole it.
