These are the kind of videos I knew you’d be good at. I don’t even have a drone, but I feel like I could get one and know how to get the most from it because of how detailed you were.
Happy to hear it, Matt! I appreciate those kind words. I feel like I have a lot of knowledge and experience to share and this video is a perfect example of that. Glad there are people like you that can appreciate these kinds of videos for what they are! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Your settings helped me immensely with my over water filming of yacht racing. It was through implementing your tips that I discovered my remote was dropping settings when it was powered off, which caused auto WB etc. to turn on!!! I have a new remote on the way and shot some awesome footage today, so thanks man!!! Oh and for the record, my Inspire 2 is much sexier than your Phantom :) but I am still grateful.
so many Mavic Pro (OG not @) suggest d-log and then spareness +1, contrast 0, saturation 0 ... but you say cinelike and then -1, -3, 0 ... but is this more for other drones, or still advisable for Mavic Pro? thank you
I have found D-log to be a huge overkill when trying to preserve dynamic range. In fact, sometimes D-log was so desaturated and low contrast that I was maxing out the saturation and contrast that I could put back in and post and didn’t like the results. The best thing to do would be to experiment with different settings and see what works best for your needs, but I stand by my picture profile setting discussed in this video as they’re still what I use and recommend!
BMAC ok thanks. i find that dropping the contrast makes things too muddy and cant recover it..thats my only real concern. so i’ve been sticking to +1 0 0 (for the mavic pro original)
I wish there would be an all around full on camera that's a drone, a gimbal, and a regular camera, that would be expensive, but like come on the 1DX is like 5 thousand xD
@@itstheBMAC Yes, very sad, but on the other hand you should consider the criticism useful given the somewhat banal mistakes you made. Without resentment.
@@matteosalardi Never had a problem with turning on the drone before the controller and very rarely if ever turn on the drone with the gimbal lock on. In case that needed clearing up.
What are YOUR tips for cinematic drone footage?!

Thanks for taking my suggestion
Thanks for requesting a video!

Where does the drone save the video? On the iPad or on sd card or something?
On the MicroSD card. 👍🏼

😂😂😂
Error 1: turno on the drone before the controller
Error 2: Don't remove the gimbal lock before turn on the drone
Sad to see that you've you completely ignored the other 17 minutes of this video and instead decided to completely focus on the negative.
