He used to be well known there in silverchair. But they released Abuse Me first off their second album which wasn’t a good choice given their audience. It would have been like Nirvana releasing Polly instead of Smells alike Teen Spirit.
Daniel is Daniel because he takes risks and does what he wants. Some of us get it. some don't. I personally love this Era of Daniel Johns. I come back for a listen every 6 or so months.

All the negatives you speak of about Daniel are all positives to me. I love his raspy soulful falsetto voice I grew tired of screaming rock vocals and heavy guitars. I needed something else. But when I was 18 I fucking loved all the heavy shit too. but my tastes changed. it happens and there people who love this Daniel so let us. I respect why you wouldn't like this performance or his Album Talk I think if It was released when I was younger I would have hated it too. But I have grown up with Daniel and I have also grown up musically and it just so happens I'm on his wave length still. Maybe in a few years I'll drift away if he goes in directions I'm not feeling. till then I'm standing by him and just sharing my opinions on the matter with you. His album Talk was the absolute best thing to me when it came out. I Loved it. so for me that makes this music good.
This is one of the greatest things this guy has ever done, for sure. For fans like me (us), it was (and still is) surprising, emotional and beautiful, and just.. such a perfect example of the genius this guy brings to his work. I also feel very lucky and appreciate that TH-cam preserves and makes this accessible. This kind of thing belongs in a museum ❤
drinking and cigarate just crack Daniels voice....he take always...that why daniels never return to his band silverchair...to make sound and voice tune of silverchair he must have a full commitment .for me Daniels don't have silverchair voice and verb anymore...
