Good to see you guys in Kavieng. Hope you guys enjoyed your stay and safe travels to Indonesia. God bless
Thank you! 😀
I am sharing your channel to as many as I know because if they love "Sailing Zatara" or "la Vagabond" this channel will appeal to them as well. I can't wait to see your episodes each Saturday. I must say that each and everyone of your kids are the most well-balanced, well mannered kids that I have ever seen. I love to hear Pip give the overview of what we will see. You all are great. I watch vicariously through you from Groveport, Ohio. Safe sailing always!
Thank you so much for sharing our channel - that's awesome!
And for your beautiful words about the kids. This is very encouraging. 😁
Great episode, great surfing footage. We enjoyed Archie’s commentary while surfing. Great to see how friendly the people of PNG are and the amazing fresh produce market. We all know that Archie doesn’t like smoked fish and loves playing with flat balloons 🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️⛵️⛵️
Yes you would love it there.
Great channel - real cruising. I see some others comparing to Zatara and others - I have met a few other TH-camrs cruising and you guys are much more real. Zatara were toxic & appalling, others were not toxic but very motivated by income. It's lovely to see a channel on TH-cam that reflects real cruising
Thank you for your support 😄
An interesting tropical realm. Evading wildlife at the marketplace, expanding the culinary horizons. The team hitting a terrific surf! Love the sunrise at 10:42. And the Happy Days crew soon will be off again. Hmm... up till now I assumed you were heading back home to where you began, completing the big round trip? But now, looks like we're heading into the wide expanses of Indonesia?! Certainly a region full of amazing places. :-)
We are not done exploring so continuing to Indonesia was a better alternative for us than returning to Australia or NZ. 😄
You are my number one watch of choice every week, this was another great episode. What friendly people they are in PNG.And lovely water. Looking forward to this next phase of your travels into Indonesia
We love that we rank that highly for you 😄 and we have loads of Indonesia adventures to share 😊
Yay! I won! :) Funny bit, we are decorating for chirstmas w/ the movie Christmas Story in the background. We were laughing at the scene where the father was so happy and proud of his "Major Award"! Now this. :)
And of course.. this is A Major Award!
Congratulations! It’s the best kind of award! 👌 So good 😂 Will get the T-shirt in the post!
I am still surprised that you do not have more followers.
Your content are just as good, and sometimes better, than the bigger and more famous sailing channels.
And your channel brings smiles and love that no other channel.
🌞🌞💙💙🌊🌊🥰🥰
We are growing but we also have a very loyal and engaged audience which in many ways is more rewarding 😄
Thank you for celebrating sailing and family.
You're welcome. That's what we do 😄
Love Archie’s face clearly not a fan of smoked fish love watching you all can see you are now in Malaysia what a life your are blessed to have
Thank you. We do feel very blessed to be out here 😀
Another groovy sailing adventure. Always love watching your surfing spots. I surf on a longboard, 9-6, my own design by Court Jester Big Stick Surfboards, my own company.
Awesome! You would love some of these places we've been 😁
Today’s episode was a pleasant return to a less hurried pace of living, where it is easier to enjoy friendly people, nature at its finest, and awesome adventures. ❤
It sure was 😄
It's been a while l WACTH you have so many WACTH ing now AWSOME love when you ture the Panama Canal Canal I use to live there my home should have when on land enjoy your trip BE safe😊
Thank you so much for watching. We are glad you enjoyed the Panama Canal episode. 😊 It was an awesome city!
It's good to see you enjoy some fairly laid-back time in a part of PNG to which I've never been. It must be a fascinating country to travel through. I spent several years working in a country which boasted 45 languages. That was a challenge. PNG has 840. That must be wild. Btw, in recent years there's been an algie infecting some fish living on the coral reefs off PNG, which results in the fish causing significant illness in anyone eating them. I trust you were careful where you fished for food in PNG. I'm looking forward to seeing your filming from Yappen - some of the best diving around. My oldest two grom grandsons were with an Australian Sea Cadets camping trip at Yappen this year. They spent five of the ten days diving. They said it was even better than their regular diving spots off the Whitsundays. I'm sure you'll have a ball.
We didn't get a chance to stop in Yappen but visited an beautiful island in Ninigo Island group which is coming up in the next few episodes. What an awesome experience for the grandsons - that would have been an exceptional trip 👍👌
If u have a wood or aluminum pole that fits thru handles of fuel cans.
Two people can carry most all of them at once
Good call, we should try this 😊
Nice! I esp. like the wing-foiling and the great mustache
Thanks for watching 😁
Fantastic vid as usual ❤
Thanks for watching. 😊
Thank you
Thanks 😊
Stay safe n love watching your videos!
Thank you! We're so glad you're enjoying the journey.
Wow! I am enjoying your travels. Am especially keen on watching your travels thru P.N.G. As I spent 6 years growing up there, I was interested in seeing some parts of it. I unfortunately didn’t spend a lot of time in Guinea, was mostly in Port Moresby, but did travel over to Lae & Madang. What you’ve shown has been very enjoyable! Keep up the good travels.
Thank you, off to Ninigo Islands in the upcoming episodes. I'm sure you would have had a super interesting childhood growing up in PNG 😄
I don't remember if I said that before, but the most important thing to buy before going from Oceania to Asia is... flip-flops. Or shoes in general. Kris is probably size 12, and the rest of the bunch are not far behind. It's IMPOSSIBLE to buy anything over size 6, MAYBE 8 in Asia. There is simply no demand, so they don't sell it. I've recently saw a guy who went to a 3D-PRINTING SHOP (we live in a new world!) to have his flip-flops fixed because he couldn't find his size. But you are probably already there by now. 🙂
😂 so they have a 3d printing shop but no large sized footware!
@@sailingwithsix Yep. Your kind of country. Craaaazy. 😀
Another great quality Vlog, With some surf 👌 Do you scout your surf spots out on low tide etc or talk to the locals? Such a awesome family activity to do! More Surf content please haha 😉
Thank you, generally we try and talk to locals if we can. If it's a remote spot where there's no people we just have to figure it out which can be challenging to know where to sit or what tide to surf etc. Occasionally there's info online too.
@sailingwithsix I had a scary close call surfing a reef at high tide, whilst touring Southern France in my campervan this year. Must of been some boat wreckage with metal spikes or something pointing upwards randomly, right where I was surfing it at high tide. I didn't realise until the tide went out... I remember wiping out right near one of the long bits of metal.... Sorry don't want to make you worry haha.
Fantastic as always
Thanks for watching!
Finn's palate is quite unique. That fish he was chowing down on would have been a no from me lol
Are you sure? We could send you one 😂
Thanks so much for my t shirt. Have sent you an email ❤
❤️
Haha Archie's face says he is not impressed with smoked fish. Maybe if bigger steak without bones.
😂 Not a fan. Thanks for watching 😄
Familia les quien mucho ❤
Gracias 😊
11:15 PLEASE tell me what Shona is holding in her hands is NOT some kind of a fishing hook!!!! 😲
yes a new octopus variety 😉
Up and around NG, have you thought of Salties?
Yes absolutely. We talk to the locals and they know where the resident crocs live 👍
In 2026 I will be travelling throughout Java and Malaysia on land, so I am looking forward to your coastal view of indoneasia. Will you go to Lombok?
Harry! Your trip will be great... although prepare for it to be hot 🥵
Yes we will stop in Lombok - lots of surf there 😄
Lit
👍
Your pack mule cannot possibly be efficient with only two legs!
😂 Two strong legs!
Los bien quiero.
🤩
You have an awesome familty :) Is Pippi older than Archie ? Is Finn a teen yet ? Everybody is growing up and there is a lot of love there :)
Finn is 12 and Pippi is almost 2 years younger than Archie - it's just that she's had 'the girl' growth spurt before Archie has 'the boy' growth spurt but I'm sure he'll catch up 😀
May you be a good boy, know how to respect others.
👍
What is it with Australians and making fauna aggressive. I've NEVER heard of anyone being attacked by a TUCAN, of all things. 😀 Or maybe I misheard.
It was a hornbill in the end and it was very territorial - they seem rather prehistoric 😌
be cautious and rabies alert about any wound by land animals
Do birds carry rabies too? I thought only animals like dogs, possums, monkeys etc.
PNG has a risk of Avian bird flu
Yes, there's lots of things in PNG that can harm you. Thankfully we manage to avoid them. 😄
People who have addictions spends tons of money feeding the addiction and I am convinced y’all are living a sailing lifestyle because all six of you are addicted to surfing. Therapy might be cheaper than life at sea, but it wouldn’t be as interesting or fun.
We certainly enjoy the surfing but the real 'addiction' is exploring new places. 😀
