    I am sharing your channel to as many as I know because if they love "Sailing Zatara" or "la Vagabond" this channel will appeal to them as well. I can't wait to see your episodes each Saturday. I must say that each and everyone of your kids are the most well-balanced, well mannered kids that I have ever seen. I love to hear Pip give the overview of what we will see. You all are great. I watch vicariously through you from Groveport, Ohio. Safe sailing always!

      Thank you so much for sharing our channel - that's awesome!
      And for your beautiful words about the kids. This is very encouraging. 😁

    Great episode, great surfing footage. We enjoyed Archie’s commentary while surfing. Great to see how friendly the people of PNG are and the amazing fresh produce market. We all know that Archie doesn’t like smoked fish and loves playing with flat balloons 🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️⛵️⛵️

    Great channel - real cruising. I see some others comparing to Zatara and others - I have met a few other TH-camrs cruising and you guys are much more real. Zatara were toxic & appalling, others were not toxic but very motivated by income. It's lovely to see a channel on TH-cam that reflects real cruising

    An interesting tropical realm. Evading wildlife at the marketplace, expanding the culinary horizons. The team hitting a terrific surf! Love the sunrise at 10:42. And the Happy Days crew soon will be off again. Hmm... up till now I assumed you were heading back home to where you began, completing the big round trip? But now, looks like we're heading into the wide expanses of Indonesia?! Certainly a region full of amazing places. :-)

    Yay! I won! :) Funny bit, we are decorating for chirstmas w/ the movie Christmas Story in the background. We were laughing at the scene where the father was so happy and proud of his "Major Award"! Now this. :)

    It's good to see you enjoy some fairly laid-back time in a part of PNG to which I've never been. It must be a fascinating country to travel through. I spent several years working in a country which boasted 45 languages. That was a challenge. PNG has 840. That must be wild. Btw, in recent years there's been an algie infecting some fish living on the coral reefs off PNG, which results in the fish causing significant illness in anyone eating them. I trust you were careful where you fished for food in PNG. I'm looking forward to seeing your filming from Yappen - some of the best diving around. My oldest two grom grandsons were with an Australian Sea Cadets camping trip at Yappen this year. They spent five of the ten days diving. They said it was even better than their regular diving spots off the Whitsundays. I'm sure you'll have a ball.

      We didn't get a chance to stop in Yappen but visited an beautiful island in Ninigo Island group which is coming up in the next few episodes. What an awesome experience for the grandsons - that would have been an exceptional trip 👍👌

    Wow! I am enjoying your travels. Am especially keen on watching your travels thru P.N.G. As I spent 6 years growing up there, I was interested in seeing some parts of it. I unfortunately didn’t spend a lot of time in Guinea,was mostly in Port Moresby, but did travel over to Lae & Madang. What you’ve shown has been very enjoyable! Keep up the good travels.

    I don't remember if I said that before, but the most important thing to buy before going from Oceania to Asia is... flip-flops. Or shoes in general. Kris is probably size 12, and the rest of the bunch are not far behind. It's IMPOSSIBLE to buy anything over size 6, MAYBE 8 in Asia. There is simply no demand, so they don't sell it. I've recently saw a guy who went to a 3D-PRINTING SHOP (we live in a new world!) to have his flip-flops fixed because he couldn't find his size. But you are probably already there by now. 🙂

    • @sailingwithsix
      @sailingwithsix  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you, generally we try and talk to locals if we can. If it's a remote spot where there's no people we just have to figure it out which can be challenging to know where to sit or what tide to surf etc. Occasionally there's info online too.

      @sailingwithsix I had a scary close call surfing a reef at high tide, whilst touring Southern France in my campervan this year. Must of been some boat wreckage with metal spikes or something pointing upwards randomly, right where I was surfing it at high tide. I didn't realise until the tide went out... I remember wiping out right near one of the long bits of metal.... Sorry don't want to make you worry haha.

    People who have addictions spends tons of money feeding the addiction and I am convinced y’all are living a sailing lifestyle because all six of you are addicted to surfing. Therapy might be cheaper than life at sea, but it wouldn’t be as interesting or fun.
