I'm worried that the unit is going to bend side to side during transport (especially when loaded up) and will wear down the runners in the base. If you put two pieces of wood on the back of the door with a small gap between them vertically, you might be able to have the door grab the vertical bar on one side of the trolley to stop it rattling side to side during transport.
Thanks for the video. What screws did you use to secure the spacer boards to the floor of the camper? And how thick is the floor on the jayco? I've noticed the water tank is directly below and I'm cautious of going too far and puncturing the tank. Cheers.
Hello, Could you possibly measure the minimum width in the door space that is required to allow the unit to extend thru the open door. You mention 100 mm and it appears that Jayco have put spring loaded hinges on our new van's door. These hinges are chunkier than the ones in your vid which chews into the space needed for the slide and reduces that space to about 90 mm without fouling. Cheers Trevor
Hi again, just wondering we have a 2012 swan can u still use the power point inside plus the tv antenna cord mounted at the back ? Because we plug our TV on that top bench. Just hoping when u close the pull out slider the cords won't get in the way🙏
Thanks for another great presentation. We have done quite a few of your modifications on our 2017 Jayco swan. One that really bothers me is the kitchen sink tap. It just doesn’t work well - water seems to go everywhere. Have seen the mod of adding clear tube but would really like a more efficient fix. I have looked online for a different fold down tap to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Diane, I really enjoy hearing people appreciating the videos. Its a bit of a weird fun hobby I've created. In regards to the tap - I completely agree. I did see the other day quite a good fold down tap and am currently looking at doing a 12v pump install into our Swan. I will see if I can find that tap again - I think Adam from Caravan Mods may have had it.
Hi Sue - only just this week I have seen a few posts on one of the Jayco groups regarding the main breaker/safety switch being in this location - mostly 2017 models. It would seem if you have this same issue they must have relocated to this cupboard sometime during 2016. That location consumes soo much space!! Its unfortunate really. I believe later models now have it under the robe in the little no mans areas just in front of the step for the cables. Prior to 2016 its typically located adjoining the fridge under the lounge.
Hi Cranked, sorry I meant to respond a few weeks ago. We have other outlets so don't personally use the 12v back there. I would however have a desk mounted charger like the arlec one in this link with the cord permanently run down to the 12v outlet. You will likely need an adapter as its a usb on the end of the cord, so its not ideal but would work well. www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-4-port-compact-usb-charger-with-holder_p0096961
Hi there mate can you show me how to put a outside table on a jayco camper trailer please i don't know how to do this set-up can you please help me out
Oooo don't know about that!! 😉😂 There will be an episode one day that links to this flag... its popped in the background a few times but will be given a full feature one day, at 2000 subscribers perhaps? 👍🤔🤣 But I'd also have a fair few fords, a nice 351 XE would be nice or anything pre 80s really. I'd really live to build up a Mk1 Escort also 😁
Thanks for the feedback, its just how I talk I guess. You also need to insert some energy into TH-cam videos but completely appreciate it may be too much for some.
Really easy to understand. Thanks so much for taking the time
Fantastic solution to an awkward cupboard. Thanks so much for sharing.
I loved your video we bought a 2018 Jayco Eagle outback with this little cupboard, now we know what to do with it 👌👌
What an excellent idea! I've converted the storage under my sink in a similar fashion with sliding shelves form kmart.
Just Finished The Pull Out And the cupboard
Thanks
Great idea, I love storage solutions!! Thanks for that!

Nice ! Great tips thanks!

Awesome mod, look forward to seeing some more!

Hi I am just curious,we have a Jayco swan 2016 and in our cupboard we have a safety switch, is this something that you have come across? Thanks

How do you access your 12v port behind it now? This is our only 12v access for phone charging in our Eagle Outback

What is the total weight of your hack please?
Must be an engineer or a drafty to have a triangular scale ruler!?
We can't do this as we have a shelf there
So did he, you need to watch the video then.
Can you change the flag to a Ford

no need to yell while doing your videos

Carry on Jeanette 😂
