Or plague doctor holds his legacy?
This altered mural is the one of the water temple and it was altered on BOTH sides. There was Kaeden where there was the plague doctor and the three angels were absent.
So Kaden found a way to become immortal using Labose... Kinda Interesting.
There is also a very weird reference to cloning in both the Loraine fall guys level letter and the fact there is a third mysterious individual that symbolizes courage.
What I find weird is how are Lili and Kaeden(and plague doctor if they are different people) suspended as spirits? Lili can at least be explained with using clones of herself over the ages and taking over their minds but Plague Doctor approaches many different people and never truly possessed them(though it does make sense now why Plague Doctor could talk directly to the guardian during Laura’s flashback when all is supposed to be a memory due to the mural saying Kaeden would have visions of the future) or there was a lesser possession involved in providing power and makes up with numbers and loss of life?
If Plague Doctor is Kaden it makes sense the people that have been approached over the ages were serious underdogs or in desperate situation that only desperate measures could improve the result(Laura needed to use necromancy cause it was a magic that’d come easier to her due to her emotional connection to her pets while to use more conventional magic it was hinted by Lina while talking to Eva that it takes a very long time to customize it to work for you in combat while in other cases whatever power they awakened likely destroyed them due to their yearning for fairness or success to accept a Faustian bargain but they seem to always die after getting their wish, so was there supposed to be a way to succeed or was just a trap?).
my theory is that PD is Alt Kaden

The Bocchi-like one? In Lightning Temple there's a room with some pick-up barrel bombs in a corner and red/blue swithces in the upper left corner. Down by the *lower right* corner of that room is a stairway down you have to access with the lighning rods to trigger the mechanism to open. You should see the Bocchi Android over there too. This triggers a little scene where the reference is made blatantly obvious, then you can talk to her to make her a Facebreak follower and have her move to the Command Room.
