There's a monster called the Monolith that you can tame. It is one of the best tanks in the entire game, having one of the highest defense. It lacks a bit in magic defense but it's still quite high. It's great for defending and just hoarding up glims. If you do decide to get it, I recommend feeding it magic defense treats all the way.
Got a tip for you. If you're worried about your teammates killing a familiar, they automatically won't, even if it's the last enemy on the field. They'll just stand menacingly in front of it. Also, the next Sunshine you have the option of catching, do it. It's not very good battle-wise, but you'll need it for a later quest. Saves you the trouble of running back. Don't metamorphose it though, it'll turn blue and won't count for the quest anymore.
I love how the Sunshine just turned around and walked away like, "I am having none of this! I did not come here to be verbally abused! Screw you Martyn it's not like I actually wanted to be on your team..." I feel sorry for it XD

Martyn, please have a look at your Friends & Familiars menu, if you notice on top-right of Oliver's and Esther's familiar loadout, there are little avatar icons known as 'Genuses'. Those genuses are the types of familiars that each character 'have better bonds with', meaning that if you have that type of familiar in that particular person's loadout that they favourite, it would gain a 10% increase to all of it's stats. Unfortunately, those avatars are not illustrated in the Wizard's Companion.

i have a some what helpful hint if you know you are heading into a dungeon area there are most likely weapons,armor,items,etc... so find them first then buy equipment and items better way to save money hope this was helpful

Yeah, shonky ends up with one of the highest magic attacks in the game, but naiad is the best healer, which is much more useful, in my opinion. Boogley is just so readily available so early, lol.
Once a creature has "fallen in love" with you, all your partymembers stops attacking. so as long as you dont initiate a new attack by accident (in which case, just cancel with circle) you should be good.
Capture a Bonehead. They're REALLY good. Its final forms Bone Baron and Bone Brigadier are both brilliant, but i'd advise Bone brigadier because Bone Baron only gets really good at level 90+ whereas Bone Brigadier becomes good from the start. (at level 99 Bone Baron is better but only at 90+)

I'm sure somebody already mentioned but if you go into the menu screen and then press start you can save on the world map.
It's Martyn's theme tune. He usually uses the guitar version for video intros, but some series have special versions of the tune.

Types don't go by element, only moves do. You have star, sun, moon and planet types

You should make Esther to the healing person. Give her all the healing familliars and change her tactics to: "always keep us healthy".
At the end of a battle make sure to use healing touch(4MP) on Esther otherwise she will use more MP and make GoGo use healing tear(10-12)MP.

frostbite does good damage against fire, so dont forget to use that
