  • BagglesStudios is an awesome Minifig designer. The characters they create are second to none. It's a shame he's so hard to actually buy from. In case you get lucky:

    While I love their customs and would love to have them in my collection, I personally cannot justify the ridiculously high prices. Also while I admit it and as terrible as it is, I rather just get the knockoff versions when they inevitably become available. That’s just my opinion though.

    Custom Minifig Creators need to understand that just because something is "worth it" or "cheap for the value" or other arguments like similar that, doesn't negate how expensive something is. Yea a baggles figure might be worth 175 dollars, but 175 is still expensive no matter how worth it it is.

    • @Ephemeral_Style985

      Then don't buy it? Lego is already one of the most expensive hobbies in the world (just look at the crazy high aftermarket prices of official star wars figs) and custom pad printed + molded figs are going to be even higher of course. These figs are made for adults with very large amounts of disposable income as display pieces. They're not made to be played with and they're also made in super small quantities, sometimes runs of only 100 figs per design when Baggles himself has over 22,200 followers.

      The price that they are asking for their figures is determined a lot by the cost to have them produced. It atleast half the cost or more of the fig just to have them made

    • @LightDarkxZ
      @LightDarkxZ ปีที่แล้ว

      Literally how does that matter? Yes, of course it's expensive. There's no denying that. But what does it matter if the thing is worth it? Can you complain about the price if it's actually worth it? You may not have the money for it. But that's besides the point.

    A year ago, this would be really upsetting to me. Now, I’ve just come to accept that it’s the unfortunate side effect of high quality customs. Be it keyboards or mini figs or anything else

    While I understand people complaining about the cost, I see Baggles' figures as something of an art (or at least a craft). I hear idiots at the art museum saying "I could paint that for $10"--but you didn't. If the art makes you happy and pleases you, then you support it. Personally, I love Baggles' figures. I own several and never bought one with the intention of selling it. I bought them just because I wanted them. All that said, I think you did a pretty balanced review/analysis--thanks!

    The prices are just insane. Can’t see myself ever picking up any of their products.

    I’m Australian and these prices are absurd. No where near the prices. I might as well buy a p2 Rex or some offical Lego minifigure

    The worst part is that he could wait a few extra months to put it on pre order so it’s a bit less worse.

    • @Parasite98
      @Parasite98 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would cost a lot of money to do, they would need to put the full amount up front to the factory to pay for the production while they are unsure how many will sell.

    I think baggles needs to get an estimate from his seller before he sells his stuff. Selling products with an infinite release window is unsettling to say the least.
    Similar to AV with their v2 abs helmets.

    I’m a bit worn out being the Baggles defender but it just feels like even getting past the costs you get fixated on the times for things to get done. Av and FFL print everything in house, Baggles dose not so even for his cheaper figs that are uv it does take longer because of the outsourcing.

    Legend C Moc doesn't produce the figure himself. They outsource that to a Chinese factory. Try to outsource anything it can be a pain in the behind.

      @@jaehaerys9194 Apparently my comment is hard to understand. OTB is saying LCM produces the figs them self, but they do not they outsource it. Doesn't matter that they can understand each other, it matters that they outsource.

    Unfortunately, this seems like a very unregulated market and people even get angry with you for pointing out these facts. It´s strange and made me get far from this custom minifigures hobby. Maybe in a few years, these machines start to be more accessible, more people dive into this and this behavior eventually changes...For now, so many red flags get me scared to jump into it. Thanks for being the one (seems the only one, lol, that´s bizarre) to stick to the ground and just shoot the actual facts out there.

    Nah man. I don't think you still don't understand the nature and things that happen with HK customs. Yeah you were introduced to it because baggles decided to go with an HK custom maker. And your going against a whole community that have done and waited for all this for way longer than you think. That's just the nature on how these high end customs work. A lot of custom makers are like this. Not just baggles. And it just seems you only see LCM and baggles as just one thing and that's something I cannot support. This whole mini series in the end turned out to be a huge L.

    • @Parasite98

    • @baubergo
      @baubergo ปีที่แล้ว

      That's one point of view. Another point of view is someone from the outside seeing how insane all of this is. It's not because, in an area where people got used to swallow very wrong behaviors, it's just turned out to be normal. It is very strange. Higher-end products tend to have higher customer feedback, not the opposite.
