    In terms of food, China is definitely good at making use of the gifts of nature. Because China has experienced hunger and poverty, it knows how to cherish nature.

      Every country has experienced some form of hunger/poverty but China has a longer history and richer food culture. The Chinese also tend to be more resourceful eg finding different ways of using all available plants or every possible part of an animal which still continues today.

      Hunger is the most feared thing in Chinese genes, so now the greeting of Chinese people is not 'how are you?', but 'have you eaten?'? Unfortunately, young people no longer use this greeting.

    Chinese Buddhists are also vegetarians. As long as you tell the boss at a restaurant that you don’t want non-vegetarian dishes and only eat vegetarian dishes, the boss will understand you and give you good recommendations. Just don't put meat in the dish. You have to declare it first and use your mobile phone to translate it for them.

    Now that you are in Chengdu, it would be a pity to miss the giant pandas.You must see giant pandas once in your life. At the Chengdu Giant Panda Base, there are more than 200 giant pandas, a feast for the eyes. If you see giant pandas in the UK, you can only see 2. The base is huge and takes hours to look at. Giant pandas are most active from about 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., most pandas are sleeping.

    Many challenging foods that Chinese people cannot eat. Seeing that you enjoy spicy food, the acceptance rate is very high, which is amazing. Perhaps you can go to Lanzhou to taste the various noodles there, as well as Shanxi, which may be more in line with your taste.

    • @user-rv8ei7pn1p
      @user-rv8ei7pn1p หลายเดือนก่อน

      For your reference, I saw a foreigner who said they come from Italy and said that northern Chinese flavors are more suitable. The following is from his original words: When I was traveling in Shanxi, China. The local cuisine really amazed me, and many foreign food bloggers rarely pay attention to this area. However, I think the pasta here is too delicious. The locals, like Italians, are good at innovating in pasta and love to pair it directly with vinegar (vinegar is also popular in Italian cuisine). Like the lamb and roasted wheat I ordered at a regular restaurant in Taiyuan, the freshly baked wheat aroma complements the deliciousness of the lamb. When you take a bite, the meat filling will overflow with a bit of rich lamb soup. The most crucial thing is that I remember the price was only around 2.5 euros, which is a delicacy that cannot be found in Europe.

    Southeast Asia is Hinayana Buddhism region, its main purpose is to achieve self liberation, strictly speaking, statues and worship temples actually shouldn't be shown in ancient Hiyanaya Buddhism. while China is Mahayana Buddhism, the main purpose is to not only get self liberation but also help all sentient beings getting liberation together. Hence Chinese Buddhism is not that secluded, it has to interact with worldly people. It can also provide Buddhist statues for worshiping. Chinese temples can be located at busy streets and also distant mountains. But some famous Chinese temples kind of become commercial scenic spots.

    Chongqing and Chengdu are not traditional cities in China. Their history is not as long as that of Beijing and Xi'an. Chongqing features a cyborg-like 8D city. The specialty of Chengdu is the giant panda. If you like ancient capitals, I recommend going to Beijing or Xi’an. You can see the Forbidden City and the Great Wall in Beijing. In Xi'an, you can see the Terracotta Warriors and Horses from 2,000 years ago. If you like food, then go directly to Guangzhou. There are a lot of food choices, all of which are not spicy, especially suitable for foreigners and vegetarians. If you like natural scenery, you can go to Guilin to see the painting-like scenery. If you like to see simple towns, you can go to Lijiang Ancient Town. There is Shangri-La, a very pure sky, simple ethnic minorities, and many handicraft shops.I can guarantee that no foreigner who has been to Lijiang Old Town and Shangri-La does not like them.

      Actually Chengdu and Chongqing are pretty ancient too, it's just that they weren't as important as ancient capital Xi'an and Beijing ...
      Archaeological discoveries at the Sanxingdui and Jinsha Site have established that the area surrounding Chengdu was inhabited over four thousand years ago, in the 18th-10th century BC.
      Chongqing's location is historically associated with the State of Ba. Its capital was first called Jiangzhou (江州) ( 13th BC - 316 BC)

      Chengdu has a longer history than Beijing. It takes one year to form a city, two years to form a city, and three years to form Chengdu. It has been called Chengdu for more than 2,600 years, and its address and name have not changed. Today, in the center of the city, you can still find a Qingyang Palace built in the Zhou Dynasty, where Lao-Tzu once lectured

      Unfortunately you are likely to have a hard time to find one, as gluten free rarely is a concern or a concept in China at all. Even the food item is gluten free, the seasoning, like soy sauce, is unlikely to be distinguished at all. Good luck.

    • @NoohCee

      There were never concept of glutten free food among Chinese. 99.9999%, except some rare youngster, will not know what you are talking about.
      In fact, many vagetarian food dishes are made of pure glutten. Glutten is sought after instead of shunned.
      However, there are plenty if eateries that prepare dishes from fresh ingredients. You can always specify the ingredients you want or not.

    • @lalalalalalala127
      @lalalalalalala127 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry but we don’t have such concept as “gluten-free” in China, because genetically few Asians are allergic to gluten. Overall speaking, gluten can be found in many Chinese foods, especially foods involving wheat. Gluten is also a very important source of protein for Chinese. We have a snack called grilled gluten, which is made 100% of gluten.😅I’m not an expert in telling what contains gluten and what dores not, but don’t worry. As another comment said, you can easily find food that you can straightforwardly tell what it is made from. There are so many kinds of Chinese food. You can always find suitable ones.

If you really like Sichuan, the first stop should also be Meishan or Zigong. Chengdu is not interesting.我就是成都人,其实我不推荐你们外国人来成都玩,第一站应该去广东省的广州市,如果实在喜欢四川,第一站因该也是眉山或者自贡。成都没啥意思的。

      Fresh water costs in China are the cheapest of all daily living resources. What are you talking about? The average water cost accounts for less than 0.8% of residents' income. The cost per ton of water is about 0.5 euros. On average, each person uses about 8-10 tons per month.
