I just saw a statistic that more U.S. veterans have committed suicide in the last 10 years, than were killed in the whole Vietnam war. I thought that was a staggering statistic. I am a psych nurse... i see and hear this stories all the time... check on your friends!! in florida, we have a system called "the baker act", in which someone can have someone committed to the hospital for 3 days if they are a danger to themselves ... that 3 days saves a LOT of lives.

From someone who suffers from serious depression and occasional suicidal thoughts I think this is fantastic what you are doing and it encourages me to always seek help whenever I am going through those dark moments.
