Man you video was on point. I'm not looking to lock my hair but I like the style of your hair. I bought the product and it's great. The hairdryer idea really work with my hair too. I appreciate the help.
I thought I was the only one who did the method but I must say moisturizing your hair before is very crucial I use to do this method all the time without moisturizing and all of my hair on the side and back started to fall out and my hair became so uneven so I got a trim last week and Im starting my growth journey all over
I think moisturizing probably makes your hair lock a little slower than when it's dry all the time, but it's worth it cuz it'll grow quicker and with time you'll get a better result
I started with this method then went on to using the crochet needle, I did some interlocking and also twisted with gel. So I did a little bit of everything as they came along. Now I just interlock
This may just be a me thing, but I doubt it. My hair curls in the opposite direction of the way I move the sponge. So I have to sponge counterclockwise if I want my curls to coil clockwise.
Thank you I have been trying to figure out how to start freeform but I never understood their instructions you actually explain it in depth
You're welcome! It's cool to hear that my advice is actually helping. Thanks for the comment and good luck on your journey!
@@locstyletv3738I’m about to copy your Freeform dreads, because I seen people had Freeform dreads at my school
@@locstyletv3738I’m gonna get the same sponge that you got right now

Did it help your semi free forms because that’s what I’m trying to get

Enjoy watching your process. I will try it.👏
Can this also work with an Afro
I like the direction ya hair is going in.
Is the back a bit shorter than the top and front?
It was cuz I started with a taper but it's caught up now
@@locstyletv3738that look dope bro
can i do this without gel??? i have the sponge and mid hair length not to grown out yet but I only have the sponge!
Yeah that's all you really need, and that was just moisturizer so you can just get your like barely wet and it'll work the same
Hey I’m actually about to start my free form journey! When I’m sponging my hair while blow drying, do I have to use products or is it optional?
It's optional, and it'll probably loc faster without them, I just like the look you get when you use them
his shii saucyy
Which type of sponge I need I have 2 sponges I don’t which is the right one only the one with the holes ?
Both sides work, but I use the side with just the holes
does this work well on mixed hair cus im mostly 3c with a lil 4a
Do I start with my hair fully pick Out?
Yeah that will just help it to start out as long as possible
@@locstyletv3738 Thanks
so does the twist sponge help my get longer while i twist sponge it
Not really it just creates sections. Time and taking care of your hair help it get longer
Using the blow dryer will help elongate your curls while using the twist sponge, it kinda just stretches your hair
How do you get rid of them??
just pick it
how often do you wash?
Once a week
Before they were fully locked I did every other week with a stocking cap
what hair type do you have? mine is about 2b or 2c I don't know if the sponge method will work with me
I'm like a 4b.. it probably won't, you should look into back combing and crocheting, that would probably work better
@@locstyletv3738 do you think it would still section my hair out so I can use a crochet after?
I'd have to see your hair to answer that question, what's your IG?
