"To hell and back" is another one you should check out if you want US history its about a soldier returning home suffering from ptsd. There is also a song about Midway the pacific theater battle. As well as "Screaming eagle", about the americans that got trapped in the battle of the bulge and there reply with "nuts" . There is likely more then this but i cant remember off the top of my head
