"If we live fast, let us die young" could be interpreted differently. However, since the song talks about their career, I believe they refer this to their career. In their song, Young Forever, they talked about their fear of eventually leaving the stage and their desire to stay young forever-young boys (they mentioned being a young boy in Yet To Come as well) who are so full of passion and are focused on running towards their dreams. I think they're saying that if they plan to continue to work hard, then they, at least, want to stay the same passionate boys until the very end.
No the line means they want to go slow and steady cuz that is what win the race they don't want to push out content constantly cuz they will end up getting exhausted and depressed and loss passion a lot faster because of the workload,expectations and pressure so they are saying fucking all that cuz we don't want to die young because of living fast pace so they are just going to their career slow cuz that is what is best for their music quality and longevity and most importantly their health and mental stability.

I based my interpretation on the lyrics itself because they're literally talking about running in the song and how they succeeded because they were full of passion and never gave up. In the end, they are higher than those who jumped or flew. And then in the end part, they said they all worked hard and to get ready because they'll do even more in the future.
I wasn't talking about them constantly releasing music but that they have a renewed passion for what they're doing and they want to remain passionate until the end.
@@michealogboru9578 But I know what you mean. I also think the whole song talks about how they didn't jump or fly but took all the necessary steps to reach where they are now. So yeah, it could also mean that if ever they wish to take the easy way, then they'd rather stop. I was going for that angle at first but then the lyrics also went "we're a little fast" in the chorus but it wasn't delivered in a negative way so it made me think that maybe, "if we live fast" is not something negative as well.
LFDY means "Live fast Die Young." Saying LFDY is another way of saying "live for today." In other words, it means "do what you want and to hell with the consequences." A bit of "So What".

As people grow older, there is that sense of running out of time and so you can't make mistakes anymore. And BTS don't want that. They want a young person's mentality and not be too cautious about their music and career but just be themselves and create the music that they want just like when they first started.
I love that the rapline has more lines in this song. J-hope's verse, voice & style is so beautiful.

Thank you, thank you so much for mentioning Jin. This man literally went from 0 to this highest note and I can't be more proud of him. Jimin's subtle sexiness always leaves me gasping for air. Yoongi is as jaw dropper as he always has been and Hobi with that verse mentioning everyone that they have worked hard is so heart melting. I can't get over this, I swear! Everyone is amazing. It's like old school and modern day music met halfway and you get this awesome, awesome song that you won't be able to get your head out of for months and months.

You better check genius lyrics or a more accurate translation. The last chorus actually says "run beautiful, run yeah you gotta run". Also I think J-hop's verse said "we're 7 marathon runners with million-dollar legs" not 7 meadows. Here's an interpretation: I wonder if at some point someone (or probably many people) told them they were rising too quickly and hence would peak too quickly? Bts has spoken many times in the past about their worry of their career peaking and then having their fans leave them as they started going down in fame. They've made many songs on their fears of fan abandonment. I think the line is them accepting they're going so fast that they may very well crash and burn too early (or they think it is already happening) and they're like you know what? fuck it. If we live fast let us die young.

The guitar sounds like a motor revving up and accelerating. The run bulletproof lines sound like growling and revving up at the same time. The rap line sounds like a cypher and trap hit. The singing and vocal decorations are gorgeous. And in the beginning it feels like sleigh bells style summer music yet somehow the whole song is a general rock song??? It’s genius. I’m still in awe.

There's a common phrase, "live fast, die young." So they're saying if you're telling us we're going too fast, so be it.
