By the title, I thought this would be a video of 3-wheelers attacking their riders, having been attacked by several myself.
Alter Ego in my videos defense there is one part where my 250R attacked me. It was a bit embarrassing really, I was looking around while riding through some large ruts and got caught off guard.
But I definitely know what you mean. Crashing on a trike is a bit terrifying because they do tend to come after you, or at the very least eat your leg.

Master Rick he rides trike also, he has a 200x and 350x. But he had just picked up a very good condition Trx250r and I wanted to include it. In the first "when three wheelers attack" video I made that no longer has music attached, he is the crazy one on the 200x

Me and my buddy bought two brand new 85 and 86 water cooled 3 wheelers those were the best times of my life we rode the hell out of them I guarantee you we sold a lot for Honda from people watching us ride

I try sometimes to calculate the hospital bills my 85 R took part in racking up. I loved that bike and thoroughly respected it. It was probably my 5th 3 wheeler so I knew what was up but in my small town I knew the next few owners after me. It was built to the max and very fast. It sure tore some people's ass up over the years.

Loved my 3 wheelers, I would buy one again if they sold em, Had a 1981 Honda 70, my first one, u just had to learn to never ever put your feet down, or they got swallowed up..... It took more body weight transfer to ride a 3 wheeler over a 4 wheeler, that's what made them so fun.... never had a bad experience

My first ride was a Honda 185s........ Been riding ever since. 2,3 and 4 wheels. Only thing that ever sent me to the hospital in a meat wagon was...... a 1991 KX 500. Way to much bike for the trails here in Connecticut.

Ya....right....lol...I did that once and had a 300pd trike bouncing off my back for 2 complete rolls then on the 1/2 roll .....it was sad....but we parted and it went flying...bent my rear axle all to shit....

I bought a 250R in 1981 less than $2000 rode it for 3 years and never wrecked it.Down a 6 pack and hit it! No dunes just log roads in south Ms.Sold it before I had to meet my maker.Glad I did.

I was a atv/ATC tech in the late 80's at bigger dealer in eastern Michigan I only ever seen 3 250 tecate's in 10 ish years 1984 to 1994 1 was brand new dealer prep uncreate it the the other 2 were trans/clutch issues lack of maintenance they are super rare I didn't even know they built a 500 the motor on the 250 was 90% same as kx 250 bike motor case half was different for the side swing kicker was different but I spent a lot of time at silver lake dunes and the 250 tecate's couldn't run with the Honda 250r the later water cooled were fastest thing at the dunes

atc's are a whole nother world that only a real rider will have respect for, so much behind it including history and power. id pick an 85 250r over any modern 2 stroke. don't get me wrong dirtbikes are great love my cr 2 stroke for the track but atcs have everything you need for any conditions.

The 500 in the beginning is not nearly as clean as his 250KXT that is in most of the video. He did a frame up restoration that took years on that one.

Christian, the sand is my favorite place to use a trike. It makes crashing hurt a lot less ;)
I'm not a biased Motorsport enthusiast. I enjoy two wheels on the dirt. I enjoy my RZR everywhere. Quads have always been in my life as well. But trikes have my heart on the sand, there is nothing like a nice smooth sand day. Doing fast long drifts on a trike is my favorite, such as the one Eric does towards the end.
nice tecate had one sold it 5500 mint keep them alive got 85 350x mint that stays with me keep them alive

It is custom. The 250 and 500 motors are really similar though, it basically bolts right in from what I hear. He has been thinking of putting his 310 motor in that chassis because of issues with the 500 motor in it, including just getting it started
That one was built by a local named Rusty McGrath. Rusty used to drag race in the 80's-90's, that KXT500 has a lot of history, in its prime it was one of the fastest things up the hill. In the video you can see how easily it walks away from me on my 265cc dune built Atc250r.
CLASSIC cool video... 3 wheelers are way old skool but they are cool, but who ever rides them must know to show them respect because if not they will BITE.

TheFarmboy59 yeah I just wasn't paying enough attention to the terrain. I had lost the pack and was looking around for them and a deep diagonal rut caught the front while I was looking back. It was a silly crash, I was laughing on the film.
i got a 31 year old 85 250r full stock. engine has never been rebuilt just simple maintenance
Awesome! I love OEM bikes. The 250R and 350X are mine. The 250R has a light dune build with porting and a small bore. It definitely rips over a stock 250R though. I need to get it back together, she has been sitting for years. Damn RZR1000 is hard to get out of, but i do ride the 350x on occasion
Did Kawasaki actually make a 500 or is it a custom build? I always had Honda's, 84 big red was my first then to the 81 250r and finally my favorite was the '86 350x....had a friend who built a 350x with an xr600 motor in it didn't know if this 500 was the same concept
Tiny truckin , it’s a motor swap. The KX500 motor bolts into the frame well. What a terrible bike to try to start though. He had to kick at that monster for a half hour before it fired at the beginning of the video. We immediately took it for a ride to get some video and then the motor started leaking coolant.
That was over 5 years ago, I don’t think that 500 has run since. His 250 KXT also locked up shortly after making this video, I believe he returned it back to a 310.
I have a couple of 350 x's in my shed makes me want to get them out and ride them
Ben Dover this video is over 5 years old. I still have the 350x, 250r, and my US-90. I can’t bring myself to sell them, even if they don’t ever get used anymore.

Ben Dover , we are in Portland, OR. I get over to the Coos Bay dunes once a year usually. I had an RZR for a while and went more, but now it’s back to just the trikes.

it recently snowed at my brothers so i took my 84 250r out to try it on snow and it handled really well

Joe Brito , yep we have rode in the snow. If you haven’t tried them, the pro wedge tires on the 350x in this video are amazing in the snow. We once had them on a 200x and it was able to go farther up the mountain in waist deep snow than my fathers 4x4 Forman 500 quad.
If you can’t find any, there is another brand that makes a 4-snow tire with a very similar tread.

I'm a motorcycle guy and it looks way harder than anything I've ridden
I ride everything I can get my hands on, two wheels still requires the most skill for me. Trikes just require respect because they are easy to go straight and fast but learning to corner at speed takes time. Lots more body movement compared to a quad, putting the weight on inside and drifting the rear around. In the tight trails in the sand I like to put the front tire in the inside rut, when mastered you can leave quads behind with a light nimble 250R.
Bretmd94 if somebody came out with a new one I'd get into it but old engines suck and are way less reliable than the new stuff.

Trikes are great for wheelies. Besides that. 4 wheels is the way to go. Hated my friends 350x kick star. I had an 84 250r. Other downside is no 👎🏻 reverse.no starter.

That's okay. The dunes start to get boring once you have a machine that can easily go up anything. It just isnt challenging anymore. I enjoy riding a smaller trike in the sand just to see what I can try to make it go up.
In my early teen years my 110 was life. Trail riding, transportation to and from my friends houses, camping. It's how we got around in the Redlands before we had drivers licenses. It wasn't the prettiest or newest but it was mine and it was freedom.
