Nice to see a TH-cam shop tour where the shop and tools actually look used.

What a job that must have been to get that equipment down those steps into your enviable workshop! It looks like you've been in there for decades. The office space is brilliant.

Great video, excellent shop that looks like it's actually used. The log cabin seems like a great place to kick-back in as well.

Thanks Russ, it was a great space, sadly I outgrew it! Check out my demolition videos of the space I’m moving into! Be sure to sub!

Yeah, I love me some old tools. Not only were they built, they have that craftsman look, not like stuff made today. Even the tools that were made for the home owner were industrial quality. What do you do for ventilation when you're welding? I live in an old farmhouse and I'm setting my shop in the basement too, but I've got my welder set by my backdoor and weld outside. Peace

How did you get all the heavy gear into the basement? Do you have like a ramp or a hole in the ground, which is level with the basement? Or piece by piece?
And your car workshop is too small already for when you move the basement gear over there.
The cabin style room is very nicely done. Is it common among firefighters to hav that itch to get away from the city sometimes?
For a moment I thought about what would happen with a fire in this basement......Better let´s change over to another topic...

Hey these two desert dweller hermits love your office it is very desert around here. We have never had a basement always lived as natives of California. I did visit one house in Orange County that had an all brick basement and it's staircase also brick wound around in a circle to go down there, remember it being a small place? Just was. Thank you for the tour. Love the die filer, never seen on grew up in an aerospace machine shop all of my life, I am still learning. In closing I could so work away making my machined parts all day long (walls of bricks and rocks little staircases) in that basement and totally happy there.

I love your office and vintage tools, but one thing I noticed was the welder in your shop. Being a fireman you should recognize the dangers involved with having a welder in such a condensed space, not just flammable but toxic fumes released by certain metals when welded. Anywho when you get a chance look it up and maybe make a welding station in your garage or a back shed somewhere less condensed and with plenty of fresh air. One last thing how on planet earth did you get that Bridgeport down in that shop, my goodness that in itself is amazing. anywho great shop, great tools and wish you all the luck with your channel i have subscribed.
