WW2 Metal Detecting - Battle of the Bulge Ardennes Forest Relics

Welcome back to a new video from us, its been a while but we are finally back with a new video and much more. We have again been able to find fantastic finds to keep history alive!!!
In this video we will look for the traces of the famous battle of the ardennes. The Battle of the Bulge started on December 16, 1944, when German forces launched a surprise attack on Allied forces in the forested Ardennes region in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. The battle lasted until January 16, 1945, after the Allied counteroffensive forced German troops to withdraw.

I’m flying into Brussels in the summer and driving to Germany. Am I allowed to go in the Forrest and medal detect ? What are the laws and any concern with mines. I’ll be with my 3 kids. Thanks

You are not officially allowed to search, because it is forbidden in the ardennes. But we were on private land with permission.
You could go there without permission but, then you have to watch out for foresters because they hunt you. And explosives can be found anywhere if you find an object you do not trust or recognize immediately leave it and put sand on it ;D
