The instructions state that if your unit has a pressure relief valve (PRV) (near the top of the tank), you can pull up on it to release pressure. If you don't have a PRV, you can lay the tank on its side (or turn it upside down). The instructions say the hose connector at the top of the tank should be facing down, but it really depends on where the end of the black tube is at the bottom of the tank. The black tube has a yellow tip at the end, and you want the yellow tip to be above the liquid inside the tank. If you look at the bottom of the tank there are 3 protrusions and you can probably see the yellow tip in one of the protrusions. Then hold the sprayer lever down until it stops spraying.
Yes. You can get 1 or 2 gallon tanks. It is marked on the side for maximum level; Not all the way to the top. Take in consideration water displacement when the pump is inserted.

It is obvious you have never used a tank sprayer before because you never read the instructions that the tank has fill lines marked on the tank. 1 and 2 gallon marks are clearly indicated on the tank. Above the mark of 2 gallons is the space for air to fill to pressurize the tank. Unfortunately this video would never help a beginner learn how to use a tank sprayer and should be removed from youtube.

Do not overfill the bottle past 2 gallons. It needs space to build pressure. This guy did not read instructions.
