Fastest and easiest way to get your first win of the day every single day. Playing 10-15 min. each day and getting the first win = about the same or even more xp / rewards / ... than playing a full day once a week.

Mission 2/9 is Yasuo, you should have received the shard for completing Mission 1
Mission 2 rewards a Zed shard so I assume he'll be Mission 3's mystery champion

Indeed, Yasuo = 2/9. Try Zed tomorrow is indeed the right choice unless it would be obvious it's someone else, let's hope it's Zed tho ;)
