I play alot of scrapper currently and it's great. I wish scrapper still had that quickness on gyro-use, but this is okay too. It's hard to go back to other classes after being spoiled with so much superspeed :P
Relic of Chronomancer gives you Quickness for every Well skill use. You don't give it to anyone else, but when you're solo it can really open up your build to other options.

quick question: if i want to use alchemy for more survivability, wouldnt it make more sense to replace it for explosives instead of firearms ? if you replace it for firearms you loose 30% chrit chance + 2% dmg for each condition on a foe. especially in meta events with many ppl that would be a big loss right ? or is it atleast a viable option to replacee explosives instead of firearms or what am i missing here :3 thx in advance
In meta events, there is no reason to run alchemy on scrapper at all and it is a large damage loss. Alchemy is just for solo gameplay, and even then only when you want to solo harder bosses like bounties. Just make two presets, one with firearms and one with alchemy and swap with a button press :)
For rifle scrapper, just slot a rifle :D everything else is basically the same Condi is more difficult, as it usually involves using kits, and scrapper doesn't really have any condi-related traits. There's a condi quickness scrapper out, but it's much more difficult to execute than power
both have low dps in ow but scrapper has a better base survivability because of the 5% damage to barrier conversion ,more aoe and superspeed with mech i often found myself chasing enemies as dps spec go for hammer mech because easy reachable 34k (no infusions) scrapper still need to work for the 34k(no infusions) but for support lacking groups go for scrapper 5% barrier conversion for the win
If they allow f1-f4 to be put on auto-cast - even though it's so easy to argue against it because it's a massive set of utility skills that offer insane value when used situationally instead of just being spammed off cooldown - then I'll smash scrapper and holosmith like it's a naughty Christmas present from Santa. I just don't like pressing f1-f4. I don't have the mouse buttons to reassign or the intention of relearning combo keybindings in a game I've played over 11 years just for 1 class that has an insane amount of active F1-F5 uses. I know Anet can do it cause, well, untamed exists. Personally, this is the one thing really holding me back from engineer in general (apart from how they screwed up mechanist by nerfing it into oblivion).
