Gotta love the touch he puts to this song.
I've played AT Blue Sky my entire adult life!
And I say play AT, because I've pulled this off with pretty much the entire AB groove.
But listening to Jack's feel is exactly what this tune needed to refresh the same chill "Eat A Peach" rendition...and this shit is working!
Although, I still try and replicate the note for note...just to get the rush from managing to play to play through without too many missed notes!
Always great to hear great music from a different perspective!

Dude can play like nobody's business! Everybody comments on his Squier strats. Yes, they are less expensive but I have one that is pretty much one of my best guitars. Anyone that thinks there is a huge difference between the $300 ones and the $3,000 ones is either a snob or doesn't know much about guitars. I think he does this just to prove that point (and succeeds)!

Its a squire guitar with primo pickups... not to mention the high quality amp hes playing through. people need to stop acting like he walked into guitar center and grabbed a squire off the rack.

@@SJW-bi1hh Amp was a Fender that the audio cruise provided (a Deluxe - stock) and the pick ups are the cheap ceramic pickups that were factory installed. So, what he actually did was walked into a Guitar Center and bought it off the rack. Originally, he was buying it for a friends' daughter (he didn't want to spend a lot of money), but the friends' daughter changed her mind. He eventually went back and bought a few more. I'm his cartage guy.

Holy smokes. Came here from the Rhett Schull video. The guy’s totally as advertised. Really made this - one of my favorite songs but also one where neither Duane nor Dickey plays a single note out of the major scale - and really takes it somewhere special. And I think I own that very guitar and it’s really true that it’s not just a great cheap guitar but a great guitar. There’s something about those pickups (I think that’s the Classic Vibe ‘66 in Lake Placid Blue) that just makes them work, especially for a guy like that who has such a soft touch and gives his tone some space.

Because he didn't spend too long in the soul killing world of "big time" musicians. Then again, he was probably amazing at 18.

Jack Pearson and Jeff Beck can/could make those Squires sing. Jack is a wonderfully nice guy. My bass player brought him over to my house in Austin before he played with the Allman Brothers Band in Austin. Dickey Betts was playing that show. Rest in Peace Dickey.

A squire is equally good as Fender especially after mods. The reason why they’re cheap is because it’s made by Cort guitars with Fenders instructions.

@@Josh-oj1pd That is one of his higher priced Squiers. He paid $149 for that one if memory serves me right. Stock, off the rack from Guitar Center. I'm the guitar tech for this particular run. It was tough. He brought that guitar and that was it. Couple of pedals and playing through rental gear.
