@Lil Queerdoe parking across the street from a restaurant is not unlawful competition. A quick google search would tell you that. What the food trucks are doing is completely legal. It’s the same thing as two restaurants being across the street from each other. People can choose which they’d like to go to if any. Honestly it’s just really bad exposure for the most restaurants that’s are complaining about this issue. Instead of complaining they should find out what they could improve on to get more business. Businesses are always in competition and they’re losing lol.

You can't expect people to only want YOUR Food at your restaurant, its kind of like saying I only want a few food competitors at a shopping mall so I can get all the business... there's all kinds of food for everyone. The more vendors in an area the more people it'll attract all around.

One thing that I brag about to my out of state family and friends are the food trucks all over LA and OC. Not all of us want to go to traditional restaurants. I myself like to go to a food truck get food and then head out to the beach. We love our food trucks because they are fast, convenient, affordable and for the most part delicious. If big chain establishments want to complain then they should invest in mobile food trucks themselves.

I go to taco trucks because I get excellent food for 5-6 bucks..... I been thinking of starting a Jamaican food truck. Food trucks haven’t ever been a problem and they aren’t now. Ppl stopped going to restaurants because of of how they are. I tried to get a 2/20 deal at Fridays when covid first started and they claimed I couldn’t order that as takeout and forced me to dine in to get the deal. Food came, I asked for a Togo box, boxes it up, paid and didn’t tip( which is hard for me to do but would have if they didn’t try to force me to eat there) and never went back. That Fridays is now closed for business

I love food trucks myself…. But they should be respectful and not park near restaurants. Why ??? In the fist place they don’t want to pay high rents on one…. But want to be where the action is. If your food is good… the people will find you no matter where you are… so if you don’t want to pay those high restaurants rents… you should be respectful and not park so close to them. You would not like it if someone did the same to you. Just Facts people.
PS…. All food trucks owners get mad when another food truck that sells the same food parks anywhere near them even if their a few blocks away… but it’s ok for them to park in front or near a restaurant… come on let’s all be fair.

@Lil Queerdoe nope. The government is supposed to protect the country and it's citizens not interfere in the free market. A wealthy group of businesses should not try to use the government to stop it's competition. A successful business will offer a superior service and product to attract customers, that's how it's supposed to work. What's happening here is the people prefer the food trucks and the restaurants would prefer the people didn't have a choice and have to pay for their inferior product due to lack of choice at the location by government interference.

Isnt it funny how businesses advertise salaries as "competitive", as in, employees compete in lower salaries to get the job, but then when they have to compete, they turn to the law.
