I see that Drew wants to be intimate and feel 'real' (as real as you can be with cameras there) with her guests but the body language here shows it's making Pamela uncomfortable and is difficult to watch. Peoples space needs to be respected

Fantastic interview and true bonding. I agree Drew may have over stepped with touching and Pamela's personal space. Of course, no ill will. Everyone has their limits and boundaries to be comfortable. Pamela unfortunately was violated as a child by her female babysitter and may be sensitive to a close exchange like this. Again, Drew only meaning love and kindness. But, we all must read each other's cues.
I agree, uncomfortable to watch as Drew keeps drawing closer while Pam is leaning back further. And all the touching and being so in her face.
I thought so too... she has her backed into the corner of the couch! I don't mind the intimacy of the conversation... but both should have been centered on the couch, and boundaries maintained. One touch of the knee at the beginning ok... then be professional!

Drew doesn't understand that she's invading Pamela's personal space. Not everyone is that comfortable sitting so close...I think Drew is a nice person who seems to be going through a rough time but is obvlious to social cues...
who knows the horrors she lived as a child in such a depraved environment, practically being sold by her mother. .....she's a survivor but she's still bleeding thru her childhood wounds. Every time she's invading her guests space she looks like she's desperate to be heard

She crosses her legs too, which closes her root and sacral . Idk, I could be wrong but if anyone was talking to me like this I would ask if they were okay or if I was making them feel that way.

It’s kind of the same, brooke is very open so I don’t think she has a problem with it but you can see how close drew is it reminded me of this video actually . I think drew may be too motherly lol and because she’s been famous since she was little (literally her family before her as well) so she probably knows a lot that goes on but can’t really say .

Pamela’s body language shows how uncomfortable she is with Drews touchy feely way. Hand crossed over her chest, the way Pamela crosses her legs amongst others makes me uncomfortable to watch.
There might be another reason for that.

That’s what happens when you talk about trauma. I don’t think you watched the whole thing her body opens and matches Drew before the video is ½ way through. Your prob uncomfortable because your personally uncomfortable with that. Don’t confuse your problems with someone else’s.

That is up there w/ one of the more awkward interviews I've seen. Way too much intense eye contact, too much touching and too close. Poor Pamela wanted to crawl off that couch so bad. I could see her trying hard to hold her ground and not shrink up, but Drew was just too close. I know Drew meant the best, but she needs to really watch this interview and see that body language. She's very empathetic, so she'll pick on and regret Pam's intense discomfort right away.
Oooh ...darn it, but this was a little awks to watch and listen to. The delivery of the questions is so strange and unnatural even, along with the intense staring while Pam talks, all while sitting in her space. I like Drew and while she clearly feels there is a connection and holds her in high regard, it wasn't her best interview. The chick on ET Canada did an outstanding interview and let Pam speak without interruption and really captured some amazing insights. Chk that if you're keen to hear more from Pam folks.

This is some intense attempt to trauma bonding over motherhood and being a woman in Hollywood. Just relax drew. The guest should not have to feel like the therapist, this is what it felt like.

She’s not giving a trauma bond.. or whatever about motherhood. This is like 2 friends talking.
Drew feels really open and comfortable being extremely candid but this was a bit awkward and stressful to watch. It was so intense; which is fine, but to encroach upon someone space this much and not allow your guest any escape or way to gain some space is so odd. Poor Pamela was literally backed up against the arm of the couch with no where to turn and drew just kept leaning in and being so tactile that it was as if she was completely unaware of just how crowding she actually was. They were both sitting on less than 50% of the couch. Pam was so great about it but I really felt for the odd situation she was placed in.

Two tremendously talented and resilient women. I felt sick when they exploited Pam. I won't EVER watch that. I am glad she said something. By speaking up she enabled people to be educated consumers.

Drew does the same thing every interview. She turns, reaches out and gets dramatic with leading questions. She is not everyone's best friend and to me the love is phoney.

I don’t think it’s phoney. I think she’s endured a lot of trauma that she imagined certain others relate to and looks forward to seeing if there’s truly common ground. She desperately wants to heal. With Pam, Drew asked questions about topics they have in common (ex: raising her kids in these wild times) to see if she can get some guidance or relieve her own anxiety. I get it, but yeah, she could add more distance between her and her guests… its not about her. Maybe one or two questions can be but damn… and she interrupts too much.
Somebody needs to teach Drew about personal space. Oh my god what an uncomfortable interview to watch.
