- Over the years, Pamela Anderson’s story has seemingly been told by everyone but herself. Now, for the first time, the Canadian-born actor and model is taking back authorship of her life with a new memoir and Netflix documentary. She sat down with Tom Power to share her story in her own words.

The calm and respectful nature of this interview is so nice, and stands in such contrast to how Pamela was treated by many male interviewers in the 90s and 00s. I have watched a lot of footage and many interviewers were unfair and unkind. The humanizing of Ms. Anderson has been refreshing and beautiful to witness. Enjoyed the documentary and am looking forward to the book which I happily bought.
Yes, I agree they really matched each other’s calm vibration
misogyny runs our media systems so that's why she was treated so awful
What a great interview! So happy that Pam told her story, I have such a new respect for everything she has gone through
This man did an amazing job of being sensitive and compassionate and respectful.
Beautifully said. I so agree.
My respect for Pamela skyrocketed after watching the Netflix documentary. I'm now reading her book and loving it. What an inspirational, incredible human being. She is so much more than how the media and fame machine portrayed her when I was growing up. I'm so happy she looks so happy and healthy (and more radiantly beautiful than ever)!
Beautiful inside and out :)
@@cris_balm7460 yes! So beautiful inside and out ❤️
I agree
Well said!
Yes, quite relatable. I too, am reading her book now and appreciate her transparency. She is a beautiful, intelligent and empowering woman.
i love that tom matched her tone, demeanor and level of eye contact to make her comfortable in this interview. it was beautiful to watch a humanized, down to earth and calm version of pamela anderson, i loved this.
Tom's kind approach to the interview is so helpful. Glad her book made the NY Times list!
They both have very beautiful and soothing voices, and are very articulate.
This kind of interview is rare nowadays
❤❤❤
You go Girl! Such a survivor. Neither Diana nor Marilyn survived this media hell of destruction and abuse. They would be still alive and with us.
Pamela did survive and came back!!!!!
Pam we love you. You are a great Mama, a great woman and human.
You are Role model and your 2 sons are ONLY your daily hard word and dedication.
London-Paris
I wouldn't go that far. She's got more wealth than anyone in the comment section here and lives a luxury life. She sold her sexuality, she wasn't forced. If she had problems they were self-made..
❤❤
Can we please get more Pamela interviews like this one?! This was fantastic!
I’ve watched many of her recent press interviews and she was so much more relaxed in this one. She looks so much more comfortable here.
@@lauragwillim1055I agree!
gotta get more interviewers like Tom
I'm so happy for her! She raised her boys into compassionate young men. She endured hell and misynogy... abuse and never played victim... even when she was totally victimized by her looks, sexuality.
Pamela is such a likable, highly intelligent person. I truly appreciate and respect her authenticity! 🙏🏽 🙌🏽
I agree with most of what you said. However, in my view ( which is maybe wrong), when she was wearing all of those revealing, tight and skimpy outfits, she did that TO get attention, TO be noticed, TO be seen for her physical attributes. Was she a victim of Misogyny? Probably. But most women are. I say that because I've experienced it. But if you're going to market yourself as a sex symbol ( which was definitely her brand) you are going to be treated a certain way. I love her. I think she has beautiful heart and I think she's a great mom. But, yeah.... She was trying to be seen as super hot. 🔥 Which of course she is.
Here’s the thing: Pamela has ALWAYS been trying to tell us there was more depth & variety to who she is. A girly girl who loves to be flashy? Absolutely! A woman of thought who has a passion for art? Also completely true. If you paid attention you could always see that in her. The problem was that the media never allowed the depth to be focused on - only the visage. THIS interview however did just that. Allowed the well rounded woman / artist / writer to speak her truth in a safe space with all the time she needed. Thank you for this, well done!
I think Pams choice not to be bitter and not display it in her book is innate. She inspires me to be better, to get past the grudges and live.❤
You tapped into it. Women who were hot at one point and faded away as they age are usually in a panic. The ability to manipulate men with looks is important for these types. Had a girlfriend who was hot up to her mid 30s and got old. Today she's on Antidepressants and Benzos..
I just finished Pamela's book and watched her documentary and it was amazing!!! Such a kind, sensitive, intelligent, and compassionate human being! I'm glad she can now tell her story and break away from the caricature the media made her into and can be seen as the amazing activist and philanthropist that she is. She also raised two wonderful articulate, kind, intelligent, loving boys that clearly love their mother very much! You are a winner Pam!
Her perspective on her own trauma is beautiful and inspiring.
If she had trauma it was mostly self inflicted. Her parents clearly shaped who she became and that part was out of her control.
I love how soft spoken she is. Pamela is so beautiful. I’m glad she got to finally tell her story. She’s an icon.
I have so much respect for pam she has had so much crap thrown at her over the years and survived abusive relationships but still speaks kindly and full of love
Shes an amazing woman and a brilliant mother
My god this woman is amazing. I'm so glad she did the documentary - I had absolutely no idea about the things she went through, and how genuinely talented she actually is. I'm happy for her, and happy to know more about her.

Loved the part when Pam said "why not love somebody in spite of it all, you cant change people, you can only love them" and you said with your eyes closed "beautiful" and she giggled 31:12
Always admired her, and not just her beauty. I always saw the beautiful heart, sense of humour and intelligent mind. She never put anyone else down, no matter how many others tried to belittle her. I totally understand how she had to take control of her body, after people taking advantage of her.
She is an awesome woman ❤❤
Pamela is SO well spoken!!!!!!
Blown away by this interview! The way you approached each area of her life was beyond compassionate and you held safe space for her throughout. THIS is the way forward, THIS allows people to be celebrities, express themselves, create their art and still be allowed to show their humanity. Pamela is surely part of the full time optimism crew, as am I, it is rare and beyond beautiful in every way! I enjoyed this so much. I am pretty sure myself and Pamela have the same books on our shelf! LOL. 🥰🙌
What an incredible interview. Unbelievable. She’s so brilliant & thank you for giving her a safe space to express. Unreal.
Pamela is pure class, with a kind ❤
I have so much respect and love for Pam . She is so beautiful inside and out.
So happy for her ❤ From one Canadian to another, thank you Pamela for sharing your story! (and thanks Tom for such a nice interview).
Always want to give Pam huge kudos for being such a powerful advocate for animals. I adore animals and her work has drawn attention to things that must change. ❤
iconic and so beautiful ❤ so great to see Pam getting the respect she has always deserved 🌹
Pamela is Clearing Generational Patterns in Both Directions of Lineage....Huge Courage and Love. Changing Herself Changes All
So true, She inspires Me
She’s so adorable and has such a calm nature about her. ❤
I applaud both of them 🙏🏻 Her for being so extremely strong and doing so much for others and him - for being so respectful so smart about it all 👏🏻
What a fantastic conversation, Tom, you have done this interview with class and kindness (of course!) … and I just LOVE Pamela Anderson. Her kindness and love for all is palpable and her brilliance, wisdom, smarts and multi-talents are so inspiring! Her story? Incredible and I’m so grateful to her for sharing this all publicly. Much love to you, Brenda
I read the book and watched the documentary. What l took away from this mostly is how present and astute Pamela Anderson was and is. I think this is because of her journaling, and her Literacy skills.
If any of us want to understand how to be present in life, Pamela Anderson should be your inspiration.
👏👏👏💕💕💕
❤
“I feel people are really rooting for me.” Yes. We are. Good for Pam. “A real person” all along…everyone is. Fantastic interview~great questions, really tuned into Pam and what to ask next. I could have listened to another hour. I’ve heard this interviewer before, by randomly finding interviews of other people in the past, and always enjoyed them, and your style of honest, direct, thoughtful interviews. Thank you!
Me too!
Such a good a respectful interview! I’m so glad she has been able to do all this especially with the help of her boys. She’s obviously a deep, sensitive and highly intelligent woman! Go Pam!❤
Pam is a deeply intelligent woman. She was exploited by men wanting to make a profit off of her.
Love her compassion for animals , PETA and her support for Assange. Lovely person.
Glad she's telling her story. So many women can relate. Myself included. She did the best she could with her trauma and used it to her advantage and became a sex symbol. It's like having a disability almost, and making the best of it. This is helping a lot of people.
Could not have said it any better myself. Here, take it ...🙏
What a great interview. Pamela was very misunderstood and I'm glad she's taking her power back ❤️
Love her spirit! Such a lovely soul.
She is very impressive. Very well spoken.Glad she was able to tell her story in her own words. She's not just another pretty face ,as she was portrayed in Hollywood. It's nice when you find out someone is 💯 REAL. It's refreshing. Her interview was very truthful and real. It's what people want to hear. She has not let her abusers ruin her. She turned it around and used it to empower herself and her life. She deserves everyone's respect.
❤❤❤
She's right the book really was so cinematic to listen to, the way she described things was insane it created such a vivid image of who she is at her core, and who she's been at each stage of life
I really like how real she always is, she always replies honestly and how sweet she truly is.
she’s so pure, kind, wise & beautiful. She’s also an animal activist so pretty perfect in my eyes !!
Paul McCartney presented her with an award for her animal rights work.
That’s what I love about her she doesn’t play the victim like all these celebs she’s proud of her messy past and crazy experiences! She’s thrived off it learnt from it and now realises her worth she’s not going woe is me she’s saying wow is me and I love her!
I noticed she doesn’t like to make eye contact. I’m the same exact way when nervous, love her she seems so sweet and soft
She sounds like she did really well as a parent listening to how her kids stand by her. Especially rare in Hollywood.
Those boys aren’t entitled and spoiled like most celebrity kids are. They are empathetic, nurturing, hard working young men.
Wow, she's way more intelligent and special than I think a lot of people realized!
Truth
Pam I really came away from this with a changed heart. You are so authentic and loving. Really refreshing in this day. You have certainly found your purpose. Soak up every minute with your parents. When they go you can never get it back. What a wonderful interview. Bravo!!!!!
I really love Pam. It's so nice to hear her voice, her stories and about her life going forward. She's wonderful and I hope we continue to hear and see her.
Great, insightful interview! Her book really moved me. I never thought I would find myself relating with Pamela Anderson. I highly recommend the audiobook. Her voice is so calming, and she really paints a picture for you. Such a beautiful book.
Great book, had me in tears for her childhood & my own self reflection. God Bless Pamela Anderson ❤️
I’m listening to Pamela’s book on Audible. Pam’s gifted with a pure heart. She’s so amazing! ♥️
Yes
Loved her book and her documentary! She’s a true gem! ❤️❤️❤️
I think there is the Hollywood Pam we think we all know and then there is just Pam. I love her! I feel for her and I get her. Watching her documentary, she was used, abused and still came out of top. She has 2 wonderful, respectful boys and I love her heart and all she does for animals and the planet.
I really relate to Pamela, both the powerful woman and the sensitive intellectual artist. I’ve had so much undeserved adversity and am now able to protect my vulnerable child parts and not allow bullies to define me. I’m so inspired by her telling her story and cannot wait to read her book! Thank you,Pamela!🥰😇
She has a beautiful heart…. She’s such a sweet and loving woman.
Thank you Pam for sharing your life events. God Bless You 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️
Great questions, great exchange. Finally, a quality interviewer for Pam
She comes across as the average woman who at times in her life is full of anxiety. Even comes across like she had or has an OCD personality with the worries she’s had since a child. She is again like many women & has learned to navigate & enjoy life for what it is- a gift❤Blessings to Pamela & her family. I love that she realizes how lucky she is to still have her parents.❤
Thanks for showing your authenticity and vulnerability
as far as i'm aware i'd never seen a video with tom power before - after recently watching the matty healy vid and this - i wonder if he has always been this good - i love how he listens and is happy to divert if something pops up in the conversation and does it all with a great amount of warmth with the availability of humour and seriousness
I just discovered this channel. What a great interviewer Tom is! So refreshing to hear sensitive; intelligent, and respectful he interacts with his guests. I am a fan now.
This was one of the best Interviews with Pamela because Tom was so respectful to her. I love how Pamela said that we have to break these Generational Curses of Abuse. Women shouldn't have to walk on eggshells around men because they are scared. We need to break these cycles of abuse for the next generation. I am sure Pamela will have grandchildren one day, and she will absolutely love being a grandmother. I think that will be very fulfilling for her. Pamela is a really sweet and kind lady. I love the Documentary and the Book. Pamela is an inspiration to everyone.
Absolutely beautiful inside and out!!!!
She was the most beautiful woman to come on the scene back in the 90’s. I love the documentary, her son did an amazing job of capturing her story. ❤❤
This was a great interview, thank you! So nice to see the real person, not entertainment. I've always loved Pamela, what a positive person 🙏💖
She’s still so beautiful! This is the best interview I’ve seen. ♥️
I can't wait to read Pamela's memoir I really enjoyed her documentary glad she's decided to do this
Appreciate the interviewer……respectful and knows how to listen!
Wonderful interview. Really enjoyed the interviewer and his questions and demeanor and simply…his kindness and interest in her. Thank u. Always loved Pamela Anderson and felt the world just used her like everything and everyone else. Good for her. Super inspiring 💜🌸
The paper in those journals that she got her thoughts, feelings, emotions written out on, helped to take some of the weight of the burdens that she was carrying. Once she put her thoughts/ feelings onto paper, that paper/ those journals were lightening her personal load. They look the load off of her shoulders to a certain extent, and carried the weight. And I like how she says, that when she wrote stuff down in her journals, at least there is proof. Proof of existence. Very insightful.
Never did feel sorry for her , she just showed her strength!!! People need to change their perception
After watching the Netflix documentary I said to myself I wish I was her neighbor. Such a kind human being and what a nice friend she would be. Such a beautiful soul inside and out. ❤
Great interview Tom, you hit just the right note with your thoughtful questions. In many ways a perfect conversation.
„You cannot change people. You can only love them.“ Well said, Pamela.
Such a sage with life experiences that make us all real - thanks Pam!!! X O California
I like her and wish her more peace and joy. I think the interviewer did not pick up on her emotions, that she had a long press tour and was tired of reliving her experiences of abuse. Be aware of women's feelings that they may not want to keep talking about past abuse as it can retraumatize them, but instead ask about future hopes, dreams and better goals for moving forward.
Wonderful interview. Tom is on the same wavelength with Pamela and shows great empathy towards her. 🙏💖
Lovely interview. Very thoughtful. So glad you are home Pamela. ❤🇨🇦
Thank You Tom and Pamela, Very Insightful Conversation....Expanded and Evolving Masculine/Feminine Dynamics
KINDNESS! She is so wise. Her beauty maybe distracted us from her Ghandi nature and how much she is here to lead women and all people's minds. Thank you Pamela for your bravery and love for the world.
Wonderful, insightful interview. Pamela's so well spoken and I could understand when she talked about her as a writer. Such an inspiration to be positive and happy as you can be
This is one of the best Pam A interviews.
There is literally no other 90s blond bombshell like Pamela ! ✨
I love her, she is so authentic and brilliant, what an amazing soul 💖
If she can help anyone then that’s awesome! She’s been through a lot, & so have many people & I think she will definitely help them, so bravo 👏 from France 🇫🇷 🌹
I’m lucky that I got to find out that she was more than just a famous Baywatch/Playboy/Pin up for a long time now , her long time activism , her petitions for animal welfare, her support for Julian Assange . She truly is a compassionate, wonderful woman .
I love Pamela coming back us!!! Her true audience is now able to give her, her flowers and fully support and love her!!!
The most beautiful interview with Pamela. Most are superficial, silly or insipid. You are a beautiful soul indeed.
I’m so glad she’s number 2 she deserves the most publicity! Bring her back! I love Pam!! Beautiful as ever, I still want to be Pam Anderson when I grow up💕❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a lovely soul wrapped in a beautiful being. A good Canadian girl is what she has always been. I am so proud of her for not allowing Hollywood to tear her up. She is elevated and has been kind enough to allow us to see her just a little. Be bless lovely lady. 💖
The best interview with Pam i have seen. And i felt like Tom was amazing too letting her speak but also asked right questions. I love this «You Cant change somebody, you can just love them>
I like her a lot. She seems grounded and humble which for a celebrity of her status is rare. Beauty and brains.
Love Pamela! Tom- you are an excellent, sincere interviewer
Beautiful, Inspirational and I'm proud to see my beautiful fellow Island Girl is being so highly respected after many years of not.
what a beautiful, kind, sweet woman she is. I'm happy she is working on her inner peace.
Je t’aime Pamela!!!! Depuis le début et surtout maintenant!!!!
We LOVE Pamela Anderson!! WE LOVE YOU!!!! You brought inspiration to a GENERATION! We will never forget you..xxxx
Pamela is brilliant. I am so happy to see her own her story.
Ps. Love Love LOOOOVE the fact of absence of evident plastic surgery. Hat off 100 times for that Pamela. You seriously look amazing and the fact that your forehead reflects a part of your facial expressions and your smile is not a strange frown and jawline not pulled back as if by a rubber band that's about to break any moment, it's just amazing for someone so famous in these days. So so love it, keep keeping it real, you're amazing! 😍💋❣
She is thr sweetest I love her, well deserved
respectful, thoughtful interviewer....nicely done .
She looks so good here. Spiritually and her hair is soo pretty
I wish he would have made the interview about her future, who she is now etc. I had to stop watching once he was prying on the abuse aspects. You can tell Pamela was uncomfortable like have some compassion and talk about something interesting. We all watched the doc we don’t want to harp on the abuse she endured, it doesn’t define her. She’s far greater than that!
Shut up.
This was a really sweet and loving interview. I could feel the respect from the interviewer. What a great guy, leading the conversation towards what actually matters.
