That scale is off by .3 I weighted it against a rapala scale with a 5 lb dumbbell. Temu scale came in at 5.3 rapala 5.02

I actually got that scale a few years ago off Amazon, but they all probably come from the same place. Now when I get home, I'm checking it out. Thanks for the heads-up!!

I’ve spent well over 300 dollars on temu fishing gear. Things I’ve learned is read up on the sizes , they sell a lot of small finesse type baits , secondly replace the hooks on the hard plastics they will bend out on first fish. I’ve gotten some shallow spool bait casters from there , almost a year later they perform perfectly. I used to fish a lot when I was in school recently got back into it , I mostly supplied all my gear from there and happy with its performance

300 goes a very long way on temu. To be honest, 99% of my temu fishing gear I've been happy with. Even the tiny ones are good. Yes, all the hooks need to be changed out. But at the same time I realize at these prices, something has to take the cut and hooks can be easily changed out. Some of the soft plastics do carry a very strong smell. I've yet to try any of the rod/reels.
I thank you for watching and commenting!!

      Thanks!!
Good luck with the fishing gear. Definitely give me an update on how everything worked out. If you'd like, you could even email me some pictures and a few thoughts of your gear and I'll share it in a video. Seeing how it wouldn't really fit in well on your Fitness Channel. Just a thought.

@@hookreelfishing Yeah sure haha, It's still ice here in sweden where i live so I cant really fish yet, gotta wait a few more weeks, and its too dangerous to go out on the ice. But i'll give a update for sure, :)

one more thing, i was just wondering, do you think the chemical smell on the lures matter? the lures i ordered before they all smell like chemicals, hard to get the smell away, will that matter though or should i try get the smell away?

I think the chemical smell does matter, but depending on why the fish is biting. Bass are going to bite your lure for a few reasons... hungry, attacking/reacting/pissed off, defending. When it comes to eating for food, I think it matters. For the other reasons, you probably have a good chance no matter the smell. Myself, I'm leaving them out on a tray for a few days to air out and probably soak them in a zip lock bag with some lure scent.
Heads up: Check out my newest video, I'm giving away some soft plastics for reaching 500 subscribers!!

Some lures are as good as what they imitate. Some are junk.
I bought a bait casting reel that was under $45 that NO Abu Garcia reel in the last 10 years can touch. The old ones were tough but they had to build down to a price point and sacrafice quality to compete.
NO fishing reel is worth $100. Look at the material there not much. The technology has all been there for decades so no R & D invested. I wont mention the reel I bought but it is my #1 baitcaster for huge tandem spinnerbaits and 6 to 9 inch long crank baits.

I agree. It's sad how most companies drop a new gen and all its just a different color at 100 bucks more!! The red ambassador garcia from the 90's was my go to. Can't remember the size but it was the smallest one with a clicker. Bidass catfish, monster gar man that baby was a winch!! The one's nowadays you better not even say the word saltwater near them or they're rust away.
Thanks for watching and that great comment!!
