I love seeing a course truly challenge the top pros. I do think that this is a bit too hard but I will take this over -13 courses where even the hardest holes are an inconvenience at most. I think putting the pressure on these guys is the way to go both on entertainment value and also to push the sport even further. I hope other tournament organizers don't get scared on how hard this course is and pull back but instead take brave steps to make more exciting courses for us to enjoy and the pros to elevate their game to new hights!
You do realize that they have to beat the other players regardless of what arbitrary number you make the par, right? -13 still loses to -14 the same way +2 loses to +1

To me (and it would seem I am not alone) fairway hit after another for 18 holes and 3 rounds is not as exciting as seeing pros have to for scramble lines and work for their birdies and even pars on occasion. The score in itself might be arbitrary to some extent but it does imply how comfortable the player was on the course.

Regardless of how difficult the journey was to get there. But if you enjoy watching the best struggle so that you feel better about your game, more power to you

Drew is a cool guy. I talked to him once after a tournament in Atlanta, Ga. He isn't arrogant like I've heard.. (Nikko wasn't either..) Watching him throw far is a gem too.. Rips a putter further than I can throw a speed 11. LOL.. Yea, I suck.

Yeah, there are a couple that are more average height, and Emerson is actually a little short(which makes his skills even more impressive, I'm always rooting for him just because it gives me hope), but most are large guys.
@@bv6108 It's a key-frame issue. Basically video is a bunch of actual normal pictures every so often and between the pictures the software just moves parts of those pictures around. This makes the video files a lot smaller than just having perfect pictures 24 or 60 per every second. For whatever reason, Ricky's leg didn't get that movement and only had key-frames applied. As a result, he was there on the first key-frame, and on the next he wasn't, and since there was no movement (error), you get that weird blending transition as the software tries to make it as seamless as it can.
You might need a Q-tip to clean your ears. They literally were talking about being more underpar than holes never being replicated again in the history of this course. In short, they called this shot historically good.

@nate, like how you can line your shot up against a mando, there should be like a “corner marker” where the same rules for lining up could apply, but it doesn’t have to be a mandatory left or right
I agree with the rule change you guys were talking about with marking your disc. Another rule I would maybe consider changing is being able to jump putt outside the circle, but not being able to land in the circle. If you have to maintain balance in the circle, you shouldn’t be able to jump into it and fall over either.
I got mine super early from Disc Member before Gibson had signed on. But, I had the same experience he describes. I have a stack of putters I've tried, but the Penrose was the first one I actually liked how it felt and liked how it came off my hand and liked how it flies. Within a week I'd literally dropped 5 strokes just because I was actually making some of my putts all of the sudden.
Watching Drew play lights out is so amazing. I played on a card with him 7-8 years ago or so and he was an awesome player but this is next level! How many field aces will we see this year!? Fantastic golf by Drew and so many others in 2021!

I think the artificial OB on the holes is unnecessary and ridiculous. It’s only a few holes, but it takes away from an otherwise pretty fair course.
