Hi young hannah I've been watching your videos for quite a while now I was telling you how much I travelled all my life and how I admired your lifestyle, then Parkinson's and heart disease stepped in and screwed that up well after watching you I decided you know what lifes too short so I finally found an insurance company who would cover me so I arrived back in Ireland yesterday after flying out to an island called Koh lipe 3 hours by speedboat out in the Andaman sea near Langkawi then I spent a further 6 weeks with my partner in Nakhon Ratchasima then I was in Moscow this past week not too bad for an old guy eh ? Who 6 years ago they said would be lucky to get 8 weeks and tbh watching your vids reminded me how free my life was leaving Ireland at 18 years old and travelling for 40 years and the wonderful adventures in between just love what you do it so reminds me of myself at your age so thanks so much for that.
Thank you for your lovely, inspirational post! I'm happy you're living your life to the fullest, even though struggling with health issues. I needed to read this. I hope you're still enjoying each and every day...
"I'm a professional!!!!" 😂 the sweaters turned out so great 😍 you are so funny, creative and super inspiring!! Thanks for making videos like these!! Xx Emma
I absolutely loveee and enjoy your content!! You’re an amazing individual that isn’t afraid to do things differently than the rest. Your videos (especially the van day in my life) are really helping my anxiety and giving me direction on how to be at peace with myself and surround myself with the calmness of nature. Please don’t ever stop being you!! I hope you’re having an amazing day 💛💛
Thank you so much - this was an excellent tutorial. I've sewn for decades, and I really appreciate your unorthodox approach to this design/maker process. Please keep making these videos :) It looks gorgeous on you BTW.
I just found you earlier this week and I have been binge watching your videos. I loved this. That sweater is so cute and that blanket reminds me of the hospital blankets And so readily available at the thrift shops now. I'm gonna have to try this. You've got me wanting so bad to do the van life. I actually entered the contest for the van with the $80,000 upgrade. That would be amazing.
quick tip, if you put your pins in from top to bottom instead of from side to side along the seem, this will cut down on sticking yourself with the pins when handeling the pinned piece of fabric, and it will also stop the pin heads from being in the path of the sowing machine needle and thus the risk of snapping the needle.... so the pins and the direction of the line your about to show should form a "+" and not a "=" ... (got this tip from a friend of mine who is a proffessional seemstress, and it has saved me a lot of "auch, I just stuck myself"s and snapped needles and such)
And you thought that this was going to be all about your van. Though you did an amazing job with that.......I think this is your calling. Or at least you can be proud that you were able to take all this time on your hands now to do something really amazing.....touching and helping so many people! Thank you.
you are so innovative and creative! I always loved sewing (I am terrible at it, I have the shakiest hands, so I settled for knitting instead lol), but I could never handle patterns either! Somehow my best projects are the ones I eyeball!
I love this! I do the same thing but use no sew heming tape so I cant do things like this yet. I usually just make long boho skirts that I can fold over elastic and then just add a backless top and put grommets where I want any kind of ribbon to go for straps. It's all I've been able to make that is easy and also very versatile in making more with different fabrics, color, ribbon, different strappy styles, etc... I dont really know how to explain it because I just do it.... I'm sure you know what I mean. Lol. 🤪🤦♀️🤷♀️ Annnyywhoo, this video has definitely helped me!! As well as a lot of your videos. I just love you and your style. It's exactly my style as well so you, yourself give me a lot of inspiration. Thank you so much for posting this! P.S. I LOVE your pup sons name! As soon as I heard his name, I was like, "that stuff works miracles and makes you feel SO much better"... so I understand his meaning. 😘
You’re very creative. I buy wool blankets from walmart, amazon & thrift store to make a wool jacket out of it to wear in the Fall weather. I also wear my homemade wool jacket underneath my coat in the Winter time too. I also make wool pants out of my wool blanket. The wool blankets I buy at the thrift stores are brand new still have the tags on.
I love your sewing videos, Hannah!! can relate so much to use some fabric in other ways than it is expected, love trifting those fabrics like blanket covers, curtains, table cloths etc as long as they are cotton or linen so my skin enjoy wearing them :D this sweater turned out to be so pretty, that texture of fabric is so nice! I´d like to see some pants made of smthg, even out of this blanket, just an idea. sending love! and thank you :)
Your DIY videos are great! I will try this as soon as I have fixed my sewing machine. I wonder if i can do that pattern with a fabric like linen or in a thick and heavy old coton sheet... What do you think?
You could so easily cut the neck a little longer and throw some elastic in that hem and have an off the shoulder sweater as well! I want to go find some fabric and make this now. Please upload more clothes making videos! I love them and they inspire me to save money, recycle, and make something both one of a kind and that I can be proud of
Adorable Hannah, I made something similar to this with exact same fabric. Warning about that fabric is that when you wash it any unfinished edges that are not done with a serger they will fray and knot up. Handwashing and only tumble dry for 10 min to get shape back is all you should do. Dont ever completely dry it in a dryer it will destroy it. I love the white it's really fun spring feeling. Thanks for sharing!
To avoid those armpit holes, cut the torso piece and the sleeve pieces, sew the sleeves onto the torso at the shoulder, and then you can use one long seam from the sleeve cuff, up to the armpit, leave the needle in the fabric, pivot the fabric, and then sew down the torso to the hemline.
Loved this episode ! I’ve been a “ re-sTitcher” for 50 years. Now re-sTitch … with all my clothing .. always just searching for my desirable fabrics…. The magic happens after that !!! :-)
HI Hanna you should try n buy a serger machine to have nice finish sweaters when using these type of fabrics.I use mine for everything I make. Plus the clothes lasts much longer especially sweaters. Or just stich it by hand.
I envisioned a Capri length jumpsuit romper ... & maybe a short half circle skirt to go with the top out of same material ... Ones imagination could go in many directions ... Really love the last top U made ❣❣❣
I love that you don’t use a pattern cause I’ve been sewing since I was 6 with my granny but I STILL can barely read them. This is so much simpler and easier to follow. Please do more in the future 🙏
Thanks for making this, can't wait to make my own tomorrow!! I couldn't help but notice your lovely rings as you pinned & sewed, where do you get them from?! Are they vintage as well?
@@hannahleeduggan i'm a guy and i subscribe....only found you because of Mav...you are good at what you do....good luck to both of you....nice sweaters😊
really cute but how do you keep the seams from fraying after and wearing and washing it? Once it frays to the point where you sewed won't the stitching unravel?
I made shorts! They were really frustrating making them just the once though, I don’t think I could struggle through making them and filming it a second time 😂
I loved this video! Really cool because now any of us can go to joanns and grab a fabric we love and try this diy out! I have a video idea for you, a diy flip theres alot of them online but I feel like you would make an awesome one and can be fun for you!
What kind of sewing machine do you use? In one of your videos, you mentioned not knowing how to use/do button holes and I was wondering if you do them yourself or if your machine has a foot for it? I'm asking because I struggle with this too and usually resort to grommets and ribbon 🤷♀️ Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
To skip the intro go to 1:55 😊
hannahleeduggan no! I’m watching the whole video
Your freaking awesome absolutely amazing . Doing a great job sweat adventures
Why would I want to skip the intro? This was A LOT more entertaining than Project Runway

So darn cute!! Great job!
Your so adorable and creative Hannah! THIS is your calling!
I just love the way you go about developing your sweater, measuring and visualizing as you go, instead of starting out with a clear pattern.

Could you maybe do a video, where you show a few of your favorite outfits? I love your style and i'm always looking for inspiration :)

Hey, you got a doggie! When did you do that? Does he like Mav? Will you take him out in the van? Your resourcefulness is amazing, kinda like Mcguyver.
It’s our family dog, Finnegan! We were watching him while my parents were out of town
