336km East Coast Trail; Days 6 - 8; a Hike-Ending Injury?

In Aug/Sept of 2024, my "trail sister" from my thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2019, Carol (Trail Name: "Best Western"), flew all the way from the U.S.A. west coast for a reunion hike with me, Trail Name: Diddly. Together, we learned, that whatever you see online of Canada's East Coast Trail, whatever amount of time you think it's going to take to hike it, and however beautiful you think it's going to be...it's going to be harder than you think, it's going to take longer than you think, and you're going to be blown away like you can't even imagine, by the beauty of the land, the sea, and the Newfoundland people!
