I miss cabovers
Mee too!!
I am 50 now. My dad drove for an equipment company in Palmdale California called Northridge Equipment rental.
His truck was an emerald green classic cabover Peterbilt. I would get so excited when I was 9 to 13 years old when I would see that truck parked on the street early morning because I knew whether I was a school day or not, I was going with him.
He loved that truck. I love that almost everyone that has one now that they have kept that same pattern. I would get in and I just remember to this day it always smelled of leather, grease, and an extremely hard working man..
Wish I could find one close enough to drive to so at the very least just walk around and just look at and maybe open the door and peek in.. My father was my hero. How he left us and this world was to abrupt and not fair. But I have learned thats exactly how it goes. He passed 4 years ago and every time I got to sit and see him that green Pete would always come up..
Anyhow, Sorry these cabover petes were beautiful and I rarely see the emerald green, but any of them hold a massive gift of a great part of my childhood.. Especially today.. Thank you for sharing.
Makes me feel my dad is with me. I was and always will be his eternal copilot..
Beautiful Peterbilt
The 352 is by far the best looking Cabover in my opinion. You did a awesome job restoring it.
i loved these when i was a kid and i agree always loved the cabovers
Totally gorgeous rig, the chrome trim and silver and black paint is awesome!
Helps when you own a chrome shop too!
For sure.@@MissFlatbedRed
@@MissFlatbedRed update on your own Peterbilt Boxtruck ?
Это классика, металл, хром, кожа, кабина на заклёпках, настоящая Американская мечта 👍
Love the cabovers, i grew up with the old man in a Late 70's Peterbuilt cabover
This thing is unbelievable. Wow! He did an awsome job on it. Great tour!
Spotless. That thing is like a mirror.
Oh MY goodness this is THE cleanest 352 I ve ever seen
Congratulation !! That is a gorgeous peice of real iron
Beautiful restoration and modification job! I'm still a huge fan of survivors and old iron still wearing their "work clothes" like that one Mack F Western that was featured a few weeks ago. But dang that is one beauty of a Pete.
Jesus man! This is the most tasteful restoration on the planet! Good job guy!
That truck is very fortunate to have had people took great care of it.
That has got to be the most beautiful cabover build I’ve ever seen
That truck is way longer than 165" wheelbase. It's a double bunk with 4 foot of frame behind the fuel tanks to the first set of drive tires. 205" at the very least wheelbase.
I think he may have misspoken and meant it started at that. I misspoke in my own video of my own truck, it happens.
I was thinking the same thing. I have a 160"wb cabover. It has a shorty single bunk 86" cab and there's hardly room for fenders between the fuel tanks and the drive tires. my guess on this truck would be around 220"
If that’s 165 inches, I’m 8ft tall !
Beautiful.
Absolute Class, a credit to you.
UK Trucker showing appreciation 👍🏻🇬🇧
That is one awesome ol school cabover... excellent job.. back when real iron run the big roads... excellent job sir!!!!! 💯 %
Just imagine, a hundred years from now these trucks could still be standing.
Every little detail on this truck is absolutely perfect. Congrats to the owner for such a beautiful build!
So beautiful truck Peterbilt
Check out the Kenworth I posted today too!!
THAT is gorgeous. ❤
That's a beautiful cab over. The chrome on this truck looks amazing, it's like having mirrors on parts on this truck. 😃😃🙂🙂
If it’s not obvious, he owns a chrome shop!
Don't forget, he also has those round thingies on the front that help him see in the dark.
She is a beautiful ride absolutely beautiful
Red. I have to say that I enjoyed this video so much because that truck brought a flood memories. Best showing yet in my book. Thank you little lady 👍😉
Work of art, the attention to detail shines...hats off to you, every where you look it's immaculate.
Beautiful truck greeting from Athens Greece
Great looking ❤😊. I Drove Cabovers For 15 years. Loved Driving Them.❤

The Paint Colors are perfect, and a Very good job at keeping to the OEM details, but with a Personal Touch!
LITERALLY ..... THE NICEST CAB OVER TRUCK !!!!!!!!
Man that's absolutely a beautiful Coe
Cabovers where always my favorite trucks. As a kid growing up in the 60's & 70's; I would build 1/25 scale models from AMT; I built Peterbuilt,Kenworth,Mack,GMc, International conventional and cabovers. My uncle drove for PepsiCola in Tampa Florida and drove a very narrow cabover; it looked like a phone booth on wheels. He hauled Pepsi products to Miami from Tampa Florida.USA 🇺🇸 That Pepsi Rig was approx. 60 Foot Long bumper to bumper. It was a slide door trailer both sides and hauled empty bottles from Miami to Tampa for processing and full bottles of Pepsi from Tampa to Miami for distribution. I road one trip in that long Pepsi truck to Miami and back to Tampa. As a young 12yr old boy I was in trucker heaven. I miss my uncle and those rides in his trucks along the many years of trucking. Thanks Flat Bed Red for taking me along on your truck shows. That black and grey color combo is stunning.
I learned to drive truck in a 1978 Peterbilt Cabover 352 with a 8V92 and a 13 speed. My dad taught me to drive truck in that truck. I have great memories going with my dad. I drove trucks around the yard when i was 12 or 13 years old but i didn't start driving out on the road until about 17 years old and i didn't even have a car license then and he would lay back in the sleeper and get a nap!
Beautiful rig. Such great attention to detail. Very nice
My Dad owned a Cabover Peterbilt when I was a kid in Ellwood City Pa. He bought it off my Best Friend Grandfather Smitty. I was So exited the day he brought it home. Two tone Green. Me and my brothers called it the Green Machine. One of my Favorite Trucks my Dad drove. My all time favorite he drove was a Candy apple Red Cabover Brockway and I know for a fact it had a Detroit in it cause when he fired that engine up reffed the engine it scared me. But the Cabover Peterbilt was one I can remember and went for plenty of rides in.
Straight up gorgeous!!! I'd love to get a 352 or 362 Pete and throw a 605 Cummins in it. 250wb, 4.11 rears, 18 speed ultrashift, dual vertical air cleaners just like this, 7" dual turnback exhaust, 24.5 wheels with milled out larger holes, low low air leaf rear suspension, disc brakes all around, firewire replacement headlights, and all the chicken lights in LED. Power steering included too.
No matching trailer?
Ultrashift......🤣🤣😂
Ok truck driver 😂
10-4 Good Buddy
4.11 sure a gear bound big truck
unbelievably gorgeous
That was totally Awesome!! You are also right in having him come down to the States for shows👍I would love to see it up close 😊
Very nice looking truck.i love the color on it
Man that is one of the best looking cab overs I have ever seen 😊
Glitter knobs for the win!
I have watched countless cabover trucks on TH-cam. The best restored ones are all in Canada, especially those not have the typically worn and trashed interiors. I am not a trucker but just an enthusiastic ICE vehicles of all forms. Soon I will own one of the most elegant Freightliner Argosy.
Plenty of impeccable ones south of the border, too. th-cam.com/video/4R4RJjVyV5c/w-d-xo.html
I'm in love Red,beautiful truck
I left an hour later than I planned because I spent so much time looking at this and taking with Brett!
Back when Jim Palmer trucking out of Missoula, Montana was an all flatbed fleet, before he went to reefers, I drove his last cab over before he became an all “hood” fleet. It was just like this one, just different colors. This video brought back many good memories of those days. I think if he’d stayed flatbeds, I’d probably still be there. Best boss I ever had.
Glad to be able to help bring back memories with these videos! ❤️
I was able to drive this truck around before Brett bought it. It was an amazing truck to drive. It drove as nice as my ‘22 389 Pete. I think it only had like 545k original miles on it.
Dang, what a Gorgeous cab over. Wow!
Absolutely spotless and perfect truck. My fav Cabovers are this and the 362 and I think this is the nicest 352 I have ever seen.
Damn. That is art, manno! The pinstripe is gorgeous! Well done!
Great looking Cabover Pete! My own choice for a Great Ride. 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸

Gr8 LARGECAR C.O.E.!!!!😎🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊💎🏆🇺🇸💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
Absolutely Beautiful!
I drove two different cab overs for a construction company converted from Safeway trucks to ramp trucks longer rails...the Kenworth was a 82' standard cab..but my Baby was the Freightliner with a single sleeper..both 10 speeds...what made them perfect was the fact they had no nose to them...as I had very tight places to get into hauling my little cat dozer..with pintle hitchs on both sometimes used the three axle trailking to export excavators with the dozer...after the owner sold the company I bought the Freightliner its still in the shop and slowly going through a rebuild...I love the cab over...miss seeing them on the roads...
The BEST, MAGNIFICENT PETE. ✌️
Got a new 352 1980, always liked that truck wish I had it today. You have to put your pants on laying down in a Cab Over

Beautiful pete period or not ,! The blk and grey my fav color
Now theres a Big Truck , a Beautiful Big Truck that screams O/Op in the height of Truckin in the seventys. A friend of mine had a Big Bunk Pete with all the goods , and another buddy of his had a Big Bunk K Whopper . Both were running swingin at the time , turn and burn as many possible while the getting was good. They didnt have to worry about them Orange & White Colorado trucks. He had a couple pics of em together. The KW was actualy still with the owner by time I was hanging around and starting , an older guy headed to Co with a load of shingles , a mechanic and rusty driving , ran her off the road in snow and totaled her out. The Pete had lost the engine , and was sold to a guy out of the area. Love em.
One beautiful Truck Brett.
MY LORD~. SALUTE !!! UNREAL
Nice I got a 352 cabover 1994 with a 3406b cat restoring all of it but the inside a little inside not much. It only had 700.000 miles on it. But your truck looks better than better nice nice job you did on that 1978 truck. Wish me luck on my 1994 Peter build 352 , if you want to fix up my 1978 Astro GMC I’ve had it since 1989 still runs. Well have a good one see ya later and great video of your great looking peterbilt see ya bye.
