I use a beach sarong (large lightweight cheap polyester scarf) instead of that coolie thing. Dunk it in water and drape it over yourself. It is soo useful - most often I use it as a shade/curtain you can tie up (and the colours make me smile), sometimes as a mosquito-defence-head wrap, sometimes as a deer-fly swatter, sometimes as a head-rest when sunning on the rocks, sometimes to ward off a cool breeze (but almost never as a sarong :-))
Dear Van Dweller. JimBo been keeping an eye on you for a good spell. Like a college pal who now lives on a distant planet. Your are well-intentioned AR suggestions are helpful and well-intentioned. As I live in the deepest pit of Hell, temp and humidity wise, your clever tips and tricks are grossly inadequate. What does help is your cool spiritual presence and kind, loving intent. It is a balm to my troubled soul. We will survive.
I bought 4 of those Caframo fans. At night, when I don't want my doors open, those fans have been a game changer. I have one blowing on me while I sleep. They're also strong enough to keep mosques from landing easily when you sit in the crosswind of two of them. Thanks for the video and the suggestions. Always good to hear it from someone who's lived it.
🤣🤣🤣 Do you think you have a stalker Torin? That ice cream van definitely knew when to ‘chime in’ 😉😳 It’s like when I go shopping and chocolate always finds its way into my line of sight! Gel pillows are handy for cooling. I found the best thing for lower temps in HB was shade,
I found that with the two back doors open sticking straight out the back, I could drape a tarp, or other fabric item over their tops to create a little temporary awning for the back. If I'd had the where-with-all back then, I'd have cut it to size and added some magnets to hold it in place. Makes for a perfect sunshade for a folding chair. Stay Cool!
Hey" Torrin of the Van People" my blood pressure and body temp dropped big time just listening to you talk! Keep cool man!😁 ...... You been working out? Those pythons are huge!😄
How about building a vent with small fan to exhaust the Refridgerators heat to outside the van ? I think the refridgerator acts like a heater. Also in the winter no need for fridge since its so cold outside
You used the word "mitigated". Fancy word. You've matriculated a wee bit, I see. Lol. Darn shootin' you done made me think of how to use that darn word somewhere!

Thanks Randy. ☺
I found an AC version in ValueVillage a while ago (for home use). That was a good day. Also have a DC one in the van.
The van is really looking great! Thanks for sharing!!!
Used to use those coolie towels when I was a mail carrier. They really do work!
That Caframo fan is very nice. I’ve been hanging out in the Olympics on my days off and now need bug screens.
Nice video 👍🏼
Yes bugs are rather unpleasant. Glad you are getting some time off. ☺
Some really cool tips, Timothy! Thanks for sharing them.
Thanks bro ☺
It's nice to see you're well in this crazy time. 😃
Thanks. Hope you are well.
Van is starting to look nice
thanks for tips!!! I will try it
A beach umbrella can be a life saver.
Cabinets behind you looking good still in progress can't wait to see them soon. Be safe out there.
Thanks
I love it when the fan flies onto the floor, ping. Haha
Great to see you doing well .
Thanks!
I need tricks for this! Thanks for the tips, Randy has 4 of those $ fans... Nice fan
Hey Tim, good 411, cheers on the coffee, be well out there!

Have a lovely day. ☺
Good practical tips, thanks.

Good idea
When possible, parking under shade trees helps.
Nice tips bro
AC Infinity MULTIFAN S4, Quiet 140mm USB Fan...The best and I have tried many, highly recommend....
I'm surprised they don't have a fan guard on the marine fan. Seems like someone could get hurt by the spinning blades.
They actually don't hurt at all. Just annoying.

Nope it's just body fat. 😆

Could do but we only get real hot up here about 1 month a year
Thank you, I am learning!
Where did you buy those dommable led lights?
Do they let ppl camp on beach there or those just for shade - day use? Thanks for the tips n soothing words
Day use only.
You mentioned Canadian tire. This is where you got mr logix? How many $?
London Drugs $30. Honestly not enough air push.
You don't like the roof fan drawing air in or out?
I should have mentioned that. I use it constantly.

That's funny!!!
That's the main cooling tool that works the best, isn't it?
👍👍
"Its basically the coolest shirt you can have"
I was sure you were going to recommend learning the bass to be cool
It would be cool if I did that. 😆
I just turn my AC on.

Have a lovely day Andrew. ☺
