  • Memorial Day weekend of 2021 we packed up the disco and headed to our favorite spot in Ocala NF. Please do not ask for location because I will not share, finding spots like this is all part of the fun.
    As stated in the video there are a few reasons we made this trip and to this exact location as well. This is also our first camp trip with out Bella who had recently went sleepy sleep due medical issues.
    Thanks for checking it out! If you like the video and want to see where the Disco goes please subscribe. Also keep up to date by following my instagram and/or my forum write up on Expedition Portal. (Links Below)

      Our pup lived it up on this trip and thankfully we gave her a life of adventure and love.

    So sorry about your pup.
    Great spot and I think I figured out where it is but I'll never tell - I keep my favorite spots to myself too. I might be able to make it there in my 20 year old Outback by itself but not likely when towing the 1500 lb cargo trailer I camp in (I'm to old and broken down for all the tent set up business, lol).

      @@paulspeakman551 yeah it’s a bit to hot to camp there now, we usually head down in November just before hunting season starts and go back in February just before it starts getting warm again. Ocala nf is one of the nicest spots in the winter!

    • @venturevalzone2799
      @venturevalzone2799  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The water is murky due to the river flowing in from local salt water marshes and black water rivers that connect to it. The water does not smell.

    Can you camp out there during hunting season? I was told hunting season starts this month, or already has… Was hoping to find some sites like this during our trip on November 30th.

      Dispersed camping by my understanding is not allowed during hunting season in Ocala Nf. Check out the Nf website to clarify.

      plenty of people camp there during hunting season dispersed or otherwise but it is not the safest place during hunting season especially with the dog deer hunting.I live 15 minutes away but stay out of much of forest during hunting season because of the unsafe hunters.

    Yes it is a beautiful place to spend a couple days, with that said , please stop posting where these places are. People with a lot less respect for the forest find these sites and leave their garbage and their fire burning.
    I’m not trying to be nasty. I live the forest too, every time the wife and I go anywhere to get away we always bring our trash and other people’s trash back home with us

    • @venturevalzone2799
      @venturevalzone2799  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m not posting locations. I have had hundreds of people ask and my answer is always the same for everyone. “Finding places is all part of the adventure”. People will ruin things regardless. We try our best to pick up trash whenever we are out as well. Me posting a video will not change the way people treat our national forest sadly. All we can do is show their beauty and try to be good stewards and relay information on tread lightly and packing out what you pack in. Our goals is always to leave it better then we found it.

    • @christopherblaisdel
      @christopherblaisdel 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Explain the logic behind how you have concluded that the people who currently know where this spot is must obviously have superior "respect" than those who haven't found it yet?
      Surely the strewn garbage on the spot doesn't constitute such evidence.

      @@jimfarley1096 I definitely believe you. My intent was just to point out the logical fallacy of you effectively asserting that the set of people WITH these particular GPS coordinates in some way have "more respect for the forest" than the set of people like myself who lack the coordinates.
