Tip: If you can't visually if conversion line has crossed the base line, rather than zooming you can look too left on the numbers associated with the ichimoku indicator.
This is one of the best ichimoku cloud explanations out there! Simple to understand, straight to the point and no nonsense. Realistic entries, realistic exits. I think the most important part of this is backtesting again and again. Thank you for your effort!

ok first of all: FINALLY someone uses the replay feature to explain ichimoku! it baffles me how many youtube videos try to explain this on past chart where you can't see (except if you'd count every periods) where the lagging span is or if the cloud ahead is the right color, so yeah congratz on that, you're one of the only out there that actually know how ichimoku works lol
also great point about the lagging span moving above the price to cut the trade short (also work if you have conversion and base line cross (though it tends to be late but yeah)
just one thing though, the last trade I would not have taken it for different reason: first of all the base line and conversion are still inside the cloud (actually above even), to me if I remember correctly they need to be below/above the cloud for proper entry
but most importantly I would not have taken it because this is a range market signal: the lagging span is in middle of the price (above even), the cloud is super thin which means the resistance is weak, like I said base and convergence are in middle of the cloud etc
basically ichimoku looks like an hot mess and this is the sign that it's a range market and since ichimoku is basically a trend following indicator this is where you get all your losses like every other indicator
ichimoku is a GREAT indicator, more often than not poorly used or explained, or worse yet, people uses it removing some parts of it (like the lagging span, which is the part that tells you if you're in a trend or NOT, ffs it's a trend following indicator and you remove the trend part? some people are jackass on the internet), but it's often a patience game because it tends to work good on high timeframe, 1h being the minimum imo, daily being the best.
I'd go with non fixed ratio though because if the market is trending properly you can stay in for a LONG time (and if you already exited it might be a while until you get back in at all
anyway great vid, just thought of pointing out the messy ichimoku part as a no go for trades (also if you're not using ichimoku for entry and exit but you're not sure if the market is trending just peek at its chart, if it's a mess then forget it, it's ranging), it works better to me than aaron and the likes!

Ichimoku Cloud
4 criteria need to be met when going long on a cloud: (Best used in 4 hr or longer time frame)
1. Candle should close above the cloud.
2. The future forming cloud should be green
3. Conversion fast (Tinkun) line should be have crossed above the slow base (Kajun) line
4.The lagging line should have crossed above the cloud.
Stay in trade till the conversion crosses down below the base line.
People need to still watch the full video for it to really click visually. Especially new traders. Short cuts in the trading industry is not suggested

No idea how this performs over a series of trades but it is a very common way to trade with ichimoku and I have heard multiple people say it is profitable each time I have seen this strategy explained.

I have seen many ichimoku strategy but this is the best ichimoku video ever.
All i can say is wow!!! The rules laid out make using this indicator quite simple. I have studied this indictor for some time now but I have never had it extremely and clearly explained like this. Now I can look at my chart more objectively. Thanks alot Trade Pro for this very useful info.
Great video, so I tried it, first results were very good, took 18 trades on monday by Thursday all were closed and did very well. Only thing I did different was I move my stop loss to profit when a trade gets so far and keep moving it if trade keeps going my way.
Could you clarify in terms of taking a trade say buying $1000 worth of shares, then when you exit do you sell all of the shares you entered with or you only sell portions?

Yes this is complete. Other videos have only 2 or 3 conditions. This video have 4 conditions and increased the probability. This convinced me to change my trading strategy and use the Ichimoku.
Yes, correctly, from what I have studied, ichimoku is a very strong indicator when the price is in trend. It is said that he gives you good information in trend but not in range (keeps you out of transactions) but what you showed us is interesting and I also took into account that CHIKOU or LAGGING SPAM is the most important in Ichimoku. thanks for everything you do.

Excellent video, most concise and accurate description of Ichimoku trading rules I have come across so far.
Very well explained, clear and simple. The thing I really like about Ichimoku and using these four rules is how it keeps you out of the majority of ranging price action which is usually an account killer for trend following strategies.

would you say this is similar to the way jackpot explained it?
So far have looked over 27 pairs, using H1.
• It looks as if each pair puts up a trade every two weeks (Approximately !!!)
• Trades that trigger way beyond escape from cloud(s), will usually show signs of Failing before any significant loss or gain.
• Most winners get very close to 2X.
• Should trend begin to turn around, Chikou Span, aka: Lagging Span, will close back inside price. It looks like this is usually a good place to get out.
Also noted that when price is in consolidation, no good signals are given.
Remember, this is only a quick overview, which took me about 3hrs.

Good job looking it over, I have seen a lot of others talk about this exact strategy over the years and many claimed it is profitable (I dont know if it is or not) but I'm sure if you optimize/modify it you could make it work or at least use it as a part of analysis when looking to get in a trend. Great explanation! I love Ichimoku; it’s so versatile. One thing viewers might want to play with us ensuring the lagging span is in ‘clear space’, so there’s no previous price action between the current price and lagging span.

Have a question, when scanning for stocks should i wait for the stocks to be in the cloud or below the cloud and just wait for the beakout above the cloud. I have been scanning for stocks that are already above the cloud and i would say with no exaggeration at least 95% percent of them the 9 has already crossed over the 26, usually quite a few candles back. Thanks for your time.

we could add as well to use ichimoku with 3 different time frame , for example 4h/1h/15 min or 15min/5min/1min, that will increase the probabilities of winning trades
Sounds very interesting but not sure how that would work. I'm guessing you mean each time frame must agree to buy/sell? Could be a good idea when wanting to do this strategy on a shorter time frame but keep good winning probability

is it working on 5 minutes charts futures?
I only use this on the 15 minute chart...it can work on the 5 minute but it’s way too many candles for me...it takes longer for a set to happen but when it does, You are in the money...I only trade Nas100 period...and I trade it now with this strategy on the 15 minute chart...I do look at higher time frames to see what it’s doing and also the 5 minute but I enter and exit off the 15 minute...I normally take 1 trade a day and it goes for 700-1000 pips easy...haven’t lost a trade in 2 weeks...
