    Thank you for posting the colt manual. I find when adjusting the drive chain to 13mm, this can slightly alter the cylinder clearance with the bottom blade. This happens because the distance between the two drive sprockets varies when rotated, even if the bush and bearings are sound. The chain links and teeth are manufactured to a very approx.size. It is a recognised practise when adjusting chains, to mark the chain with a piece of cotton or tape and check the clearance in 3 separate locations on the chain to obtain an average clearance. I would suggest setting the cylinder cutting clearance first with a piece of paper.Then adjust the chain clearance and finally re-check the cylinder setting.Ideally the cylinder should rotate quite freely by hand with minimum contact with the bottom blade, just enough to cut paper.

    This is a brilliant explanation video. I had a problem with the blades continuously spinning at idle speed and your video was a real problem solver. One of the centrifugal clutch assemblies was sticking in the engaged mode, almost seized. Must say it took a bit of freeing off but I got there. Now it's better than ever. Wouldn't have known how to diagnose this without your video. Thank you.

    I've just acquired a mower identical to yours. Looking forward to running it when I've replaced the fuel tap.

    Losing the light and wearing shades. A solution becomes apparent, me thinks. Great video. Thank you. Suffolk Colts less of a mystery now.

      When forced to choose between style and visibility, I know what side of the fence I'm on.

    Hey man. Just bought this mower in a good find but its not running. Stoked I came across your videos as they are really helpful for me. However, would you mind linking the part numbers of new parts you put on? I cant seem to find a new belt

      There's a manual linked in the comments which I think has part numbers. But I just went on eBay and searched the mower model.

    Good morning. I need assistance please. I have a Dual Drive Suffolk Power Punch 17". I need to replace the clutch plates. On a manual I have found, the part number is L.5319, but my number is L.5318. I do not not know what to do now.

    • @TooManyProjects
      @TooManyProjects  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I couldn't tell you the answer I'm afraid. 5318 and 5319 sound like they might be similar though? Can you still get both? Maybe 5319 is an updated replacement for 5318. If you can still get both, maybe buy both and return one when you can see them in the flesh?
