I live in a province up North. Everybody has plant medicine growing in the garden for personal use. Keep it mellow, no issues.

Ice nailed it. Similar thing in Greece: they legalized medical cannabis but set crazy high investment requirements for growing-up to €1M+-shutting out small farmers and handing the business to big corporations who can afford the bribes. If you catch my drift...

While reversing the legalization of products containing cannabinoids and THC derivatives is often influenced by political interests and medical considerations for careful planning out in order to ensure public safety as well, and it's crucial that you do understand that there are significant public health concerns involved when something like that is sold recreationally to a person, especially to someone with no previous experience. and the use of THC can have unpredictable and potentially severe effects on mental health. Therefore, it is important to be cautious and well-informed about the risks. Engaging in recreational use of THC can lead to adverse consequences, which may not become apparent until later. For these reasons, it's advisable to prioritize health and safety, and to make decisions based on thorough research and professional medical advice and if you want, then apply for a permit, if you want something, go and explain why you need it.

Yes, it will become illegal, it's not an essentially harmless drug, especially when done without super vision of a doctor, if you're exempted for being verified a valid medical license then you possibly have disqualification for mental health ramifications and challenges, things plain simply don't become restricted.

Ice is correct I believe. In theory..
Everything is about money corruption and greed with the Thai government and the players at the top look to America and dream they can replicate the big warehouse grows and get in on the action. Ambitious for sure.
I think the lower level corruption from the police will be a gatekeeper for the smaller players however. Plus it is so ubiquitous that it’s a genie that can’t be put back in the bottle.
The police can always be bought off when it comes to policing implementation of rules if they run up against a small unlicensed premise.
Introducing medical certificates is about creating employment for ‘doctors’. Not to mention more tax. I can’t imagine it would be a real doctor just a ‘qualified’ practitioner that can sign off on some paperwork and collect some fee (tax).
It’s all BS, police can rock up and collect their bribes if no ‘doctor’ is on site. Another source of personal income.
Can’t see things changing too quick or at all other than the govt trying to grab more tax.
