Really enjoying your vids. My father used to beep the horn when my mum walked in front of the car. She'd yell at him. Such a funny over-reaction. Keep the vids and rambling coming.
Haha, that's classic. It's fun to be a bit silly sometimes and not take ourselves too seriously. Oh to be kids again and find everything funny! My (Eb's) dad was also making jokes and being silly when we were kids. Makes life a lot more fun. Thanks for watching Tricia.
Thank you! It's def an awesome experience to get to do it. Really exciting to do, especially when all the planning finally comes into place and you take off. Thanks for watching . 👍
Love the chats getting to know you and the family. Having said that in the travel section I like that you keep the chats short or 'as you go' chats. That way we see more of the travel, scenery and adventure that you are experiencing. I really look forward to your video each week. Cheers.
Thank so much Graham. Yeah agreed, think we'd bore you to death if we just talked for the whole thing. Sharing this amazing country, and also what it's like to travel / tips is the main point of the channel. Glad you're enjoying it.
Hi guys loved the video we spent a few months exploring the north west before heading home . Love hearing your opinions on the destinations very similar To our experience. Great photography . 👍
thanks mate. That's interesting that we're having similar experiences of places. We don't like being too opinionated about spots because it's so subjective, and the weather also has a huge play in whether you end up liking a spot or not. But it's good when you find someone who has similar opinions because then you can generally follow their itineraries. Just like having similar tastes in movies to someone I suppose.
Thanks Deb. Yeah their education is ridiculously good. Wish we experienced this as kids, it's giving us a better education too! And with the kids, it's not just the things they're seeing, but also the 1:1 time when we're doing the basic school work stuff too like maths. We're so grateful to have this time with them.
Great info again. Loved the bucket of water on the rocks. Wow! Ramblings - fab again. Muck mats. Yes please! Future content - whatever you give us. It's always great.
It's the best! I think we expected to do a lot more free camping than we have when we started. We do a lot of it, but we still thought we'd do more. So good to just have your own space, like owning acres of land.
We are really enjoying your videos. The scenery is spectacular and you have a wonderful eye for the natural beauty of the places you visit. We are finding your ramblings really interesting. A Muk Mat would be a great addition for our caravanning gear. Safe travels.
Hey Datto, thanks for this comment - very kind of you. It's Danny with the great eye when it coms to photos. He's an oil painting artist so is naturally artistic and knows what will make a good painting / photo etc. Only wish I got some of that talent 😆. Emerald definitely got his genes though - she's a little artist in the making. Thanks for watching!
Another great episode, I'm always hanging out for the next one. The "rambling" is a great way to get to know you guys. Loved the tip about the bucket of water at Marble Bar!
Hey Shona, thanks for the lovely comment. We never know how long to make the episodes. Don't want them to be too long and bore you! Think the 20-30 mins is prob about right. Thanks for watching!
Great video guys, love the ramblings, can’t wait till we can take off on our first lap, getting lots of ideas on where to go and what to see, thanks so much
Awesome to hear that Gav, thanks. We were newbies before we started the trip too - it seemed like a whole different language! I was like "grey water what?!" Really good to hear that you're finding the vids helpful :-)
Love how natural you all come across, great episode. Love the ramblings. Only 7 weeks to go and we will be out on the road at long last, 18 months of planning and organising and delays due to Covid. Muk mat would come in very handy.
Great channel guys. I think the rambling is good, so casual, relaxed and interesting. Love the photos and video as it gets us excited for our upcoming travels next year. Got a little wait ie almost a year. A Muk Mat sounds good as we are collecting stuff for our new Van
Yes! We think this too! One of the biggest things we've noticed since traveling is just how diverse the landscape is all across Australia. You literally drive just 2 hours and see a whole new landscape.
Another great video guys 👏🏻 Loving the rambling. I’ve followed you since the car on fires and through SA so it’s great to hear the rest of your travels
Hey guys. We love that you've been following us since back then - thank you! That car on fire was hectic! We're really enjoying the ramblings too as it's great to reminisce on the earlier parts of the trip. We're also enjoying just having a chat to you guys in a more relaxed state rather than just while we're exploring and there's heaps going on. Good to chat on here in comments too. Enjoy the rest of your week :-)
Thanks, like the ramblings...Marble Bar is my moms hometown (well a nearby station) so have heard about the heat. Still yet to get there myself. Happy travels.
Keep up the good work, I love your still photography, I had stayed at 80 mile and now wish we had gone to Barn hill, we just have an off cut of synthetic grass which works but the muck mats look a much better idea, travel safe
hey Christine. Yep we are very lucky, so grateful for this opportunity to explore Australia. We definitely know what a tough 2 years it's been for a lot of people too. We never would have guessed that the year we chose to start would have ended up how it did. Crazy. Thanks for watching.
Question for the rambling's segment, After all your travel's , What seem's to be the most durable and popular tow vehicle people are using to tow a large caravan similar to your Jayco ??? Another great vid guy's. Cheers
Very interested to see if you did get stuck anywhere... Great episode. Very interesting about 80 mile beach as I had that on a 'must see' list but now I might just stick with Barn Hill.

So glad we found your YT channel, loved this episode and definitely putting Barn Hill Starion on list. Looking forward to seeing more. We have a Mukmat on our list of need to get so would love to win!
Hi Guys, another terrific episode.. Love the rambling section, keep it up..... With a bit of luck, I might win a Muk........Cheers Guys. See you next episode...
We absolutely love you videos of your adventures. We have asked that question several times. What do you want to achieve out of your trip. We have planned to start our lifestyle change neclxt year. Getting caravan built and setting up the cruiser. You love the mud mats. 😜 Keep up the videos. 👍👍
I really love the ramblings, thanks, Hubby and I are really enjoying the videos thank you for the work. I would really love to win a Muk Mat. Thanks again for all you do to get the content out.
Very enjoyable. The presentation is spot on. Love the ramblings. Question, in your opinion what do you think you should know before you go on the big lap? Would you do anything differently?
Loving the ramblings! Can you tell us more about home schooling. Did you purchase a particular curriculum and how many hours a week do you spend on schooling? Keep having fun!
Hi Andrew. Yes, definitely. I've actually just done a video with Emerald on this, hope to get it up on the channel in the next few weeks. But in the meantime, we do distance education and our experience with it has been really good. About 1-2 hours a day of sit down school work 5 days a week. Will share more in the vid. Hope that helps.
Love the vids guys. Quick question, it doesn't look like you have a stone deflector or stone stomper but still do quite a bit of dirt roads, how's that been? Any dramas? Just wondering if I bother trying to get one before our big trip. Thanks
Hi Banjo. You're right, we've done heaps of dirt roads and we don't have one. We haven't had much of an issue. If we're going to go on very rocky roads, we have a yoga mat that we pop over the back windscreen of the car to protect it. It's worked so far touch-wood. We didn't want to get the stone stomper mainly because of the extra weight. But it's definitely down to personal preference and also your risk tolerance.
Hi guys, thanks for the comment and great feedback :-) We have learnt it as we've travelled. Heaps to learn, and still learning, think the vids have improved a lot from the start. Danny has always had an eye for great photos though - has taken a thousand photos since before iPhone cameras were around!
Hi there, thanks so much for your videos, really enjoying them. When you showed one of your wedding photos we spotted Steve Waugh (former Australian Cricket Captain). How closely related are you? Perhaps your kids may grow into being top notch cricketers. Paul & Daisy.
Hi Paul & Daisy. Steve and Mark are Danny's brothers. There are 4 brothers, and Danny is the youngest. Yep a lot of good sporting genes in the family. Their parents actually met on the pro tennis circuit. The whole family are extremely coordinated and competitive. Ace loves his sport too, though we play more golf than cricket atm.
@@Journey_and_Destination all 4 of them played cricket and were bloody good. I actually met Danny because he was in the same 1st grade team as my brother in the Sydney grad comp for a few years. Danny played a lot overseas too - would play the season here, then the UK and back and forward. We've always loved travelling. But there's def no better country to travel than Australia!
@@onthewaughpath6552 A lot better players than me. I was a fast bowler, played a few games for Sutherland down in 4th and 5th grade back in the late 80's, that was the dizzy heights for me! I agree there is so much to see in Australia.
Yay, a question! We love questions! Will def answer our food and exercise in a future rambling. We've been very restricted in what we've eaten the past 5-6 months, not really by choice though unfortunately, but will fill you in on that soon :-)
Another great episode guys!! Loving the ramblings, just need longer episodes, I can't get enough!!
Gotta keep you wanting more! If we went for longer you'd be sick of us! Thanks for watching mate :-)
Sand between the toes! Those beaches looked so lovely x
yep, just stunning. The colour of the sand, the rocks, the water...❤️❤️❤️
Really enjoying your vids. My father used to beep the horn when my mum walked in front of the car. She'd yell at him. Such a funny over-reaction. Keep the vids and rambling coming.
