Just to let everyone know I had the pedal off in less then 5mins and it's easy as fuck! This is how I done mine . I push in the clip on the right, then I slightly tilted the pedal to the left and up a touch, then I pushed the left clip to the right and it just popped off after wriggling it around a little. Don't be scared people 👍
Door side catch on mine was a bit broken in the middle, so needed to put screwdriver in at a slight angle. Otherwise easy, release catch at inside, then tilt up a bit, then door side.
hello, I have a Passat b6 2.0 TDI, I would like to put the accelerator pedal from the Golf 5 GTI, I AM INTERESTED IN WHETHER THAT GAS PEDAL FIT FOR MY CAR ?
I did this on my 2013 Jetta and it wont read the new pedal, I put the old one back in and now that doesn't read anymore either. did I do something wrong?
It does not, just keep your key out of car, I just installed metal GTI pedals into my Gof 6 and everything works normally, you can eventually check gas position using VCDS
I got mine out after translation, easy as fuck ah ha. Taking apart the piece of shit to dry it out. All the sponge rubber custom molded pieces of shit soaked up a couple of gallons of rain. Never buy another das wasser can.
The more I take this car apart, the more I hate this company. I can deal with some proprietary tooling, but a special tool just to remove the pedal? Jesus Christ. Lmao
@@ZrTubz LOL I have never had the (dis?) pleasure of working on a French car. They do have a really unique charm though, there's a few french cars I'd go through a lot of headaches to own.
Take a look at the release clips on the new pedal. It will become clear what needs to be done. Right tab, pushed in and left tab, moved to the right.

ZeroGHome24 Did you use that special tool too? Did you poke one side at a time and adjust one side at a time?
Door side is a push away (small screw driver). Passenger side is a push sideways (towards door slightly bigger screw driver) then lever up.

Thanks for this vid . I have to check the multi plug for good connections . I'm hoping to get the plug off without having to dismantle the pedal
I think you should vacuum it first.
It would be lepiej
Die Zeit zwischen 9sec bis 20sec war für mich besonders interessant!👍
Need your help...at 5:15 you just pop and open the pedal, how did you do this? i need to open mine to do some cleaning and oiliing

Adaptation? I know throttle body needs it (other end of this system)
Having problems with mine feeling sticky any fix?
Does the pedal need programming when replaced ??

What's even worse is that it's nearly impossible to buy these tools. If only they release the dimensions of them, one could make them at home.
Why don’t people clean the areas before they make video. No wonder crap is broken, look at the condition you keep your car in.
turn off the lights! your video is like you are stilling the car..
First
Pero que? Lo reparaste? O lo reemplazaste?...no se ve en el video...
