Great videos Ted. I know u filmed this in the spring but we need snow, heading up sat. U need to jump on a par of salomon xdr 84 ti or Blizzard Brahma. Your Exp 84 are gr8 for the conditions rigjt now and then.
We would all like more snow and hopefully this weekend is the start of that. But the conditions on the groomed runs have been great and I have been spending most of my free time on groomers improving my own skills using telemark skis and a snowboard. Early seasons like this are a great opportunity to train and get better!
On the trail map, Wonderland is labeled as a double black. Based on your video, the run does not appear incredibly difficult. Would you say the difficulty is based on the steepness of the run not captured in the video? If so, what other run would you compare it to at Breck? Thanks.
@Ryan MacIntyre - Yes, the wide angle of the GoPro does not do a good job of picking up steepness. If you watch videos of runs you are familiar with, paying particular attention to where the horizon is, and then watch videos of new runs, also focusing on the horizon, you will get a better sense of steepness. Wonderland is steep enough that under the right conditions, a fall could have you sliding to the bottom in places, as in Horseshoe Bowl.
I personally have always gone to Surefoot. They are trained there to push their product, of course. But they have also been great with me working with what I already have. A Racer’s Edge also has a great reputation in town.
Yes to both, but not often. The wind up here fills in the troughs pretty quickly. So, to get bumps...there needs to be snow conducive to forming them (like during the warmth of spring), and little or no wind for a period of time.
@@BreckSnowPro thanks! Happen to know the conditions now? Which runs do you recommend for skiing this weekend? Looking for some challenging blacks and double blacks with good conditions... mogul runs
I was near here today and someone said wonderland was nice. Might check it out tomorrow. Thanks for your videos!
Thanks for the report! I have not been out this extended season yet.
I love your videos! Headed to Breck for the first time in Jan.

On the 2022/2023 trail map, this has been re-named to: "Pat's Wonderland".

Hey Ted, what bootfitter would you recommend in the Breckenridge area? Thanks

Does this run ever get moguls? How about on Intuition?
