Great vid!! I looked at giro helmets recently and realized quickly that the “U” (universal) sizing is a bad idea! Basically all the helmets are huge n bulky looking.hence why Clint looks like he’s wearing Andre the giants white helmet!! It’s unfortunate because they make great cool looking kids but unless your a big human they look ridiculous!

I had to see this mainly due to my wife and I just ordered the Giro Fixture in other color options but not the MIPS version which I am sure is not overly different than the one you tried on. So at least I can see what we bought them for will be a good deal and last a long time.
I was recently looking for a trail helmet and Fixture was one of the options, but then I decided to go up and buy the Chronicle on sale. Was also considering Montaro, but the price difference was too big. I have a fullface helmet for enduro and for trail riding I'm using a 9-years old Specialized with all the padding now gone. Same situation as yours.
I don't know, might would try a more aero cx helmet but that red helmet looks great. Reminds me of Indian red, perfect for that Seminole county ☺ That's the color I paint my arrows

10 years with a helmet which also had an crash... hmmmm with all those expensive bikes and wheelsets you should spoiled yourself about at least 7 yrs earlier with a new helmet!!!
I put a mount under the visor on my fixture. It was not the normal flat one, it was a tripod mount to those three slabs with a little modivocation. Works ok for me.
Clint or anyone else. I have a 2018 camber and I'm looking to upgrade either the fork to a pike or fox 34 performance. I could also trade my bike in and 1000 dollars for a giant trance sx 27.5. it has a 3 years left on a extended warranty. Thoughts

There's nothing to review other than color and fit? Dude, you need to learn about helmet technology. I could do an hour long lecture on correct fit, helmet placement, materials, weight and heat dissipation. Helmet technology is off the charts, especially since the days of the very first gen of Giro helmets. Please understand I'm not trying to be a hater, but there's a surprising amount of research and tech that goes into modern helmets, even fairly crappy ones.
My point is if it looks good, fits well and is comfortable it's a good helmet. There's not much more beyond that to look for in a helmet (helmet weight is included in being comfortable).
I have the Fixture and LOVE it. Best helmet I’ve ever owned.

Love your stuff man but, the Giro Register makes you look like a mushroom. The fixture looks a lot better though.
The front view of the register isn't that great but the side and back views are better. And yes, I'm totally digging the fixture!

I really like my Uvex Quatro. It's one of the few helmets not made in China (it's made in Germany) and it looks great and fits well.

IMO, Register is a little bulky. $65 talks though! Nice to see quality helmets in that price range

What's your head measurement? I know there's only one size but I hate bulky looking helmets on a head that's not big.

I know most helmets now let you take out the pads but do these? Because I hate sweat buildup and would like to wash the pads once in a while.

I don't know what Cannondale you're looking at but I tend to like Trek better than Cannondale.
