So many nice communities, so hard to choose - I guess it comes down to how close or far one wants to be from downtown, HOA fees, and the general feel you get when driving/walking around. Just from videos, Habersham still looks the most gorgeous to me, but then I have not seen any of the others up close, except Pleasant Point and Cat Island. It seems the population of Beaufort has to be more than 6500, or are some of these areas not counted as Beaufort? What is kind of the range of HOA fees on these that you showed? Thanks for the driving tour!
Thanks for watching my driving tour Jim! Beaufort's population is approx. 13K and that includes the small out-skirt towns like Port Roya, Lady's Island and St. Helena. The communities I mentioned have HOA fees under $3,000/yr.
@@TheLowcountry Thanks! 13k definitely seems more realistic, as I am recalling some visitor info - but possibly from the mid-1990s, so might not have included PR, St Helena, Lady's Island. Those HOA fees are much LESS than I would have thought, as some condos are close to $1k per month! $250/mo or less is not bad for the extra amenities. The big thing is hoping the association has mostly reasonable board members, as you can occasionally get the control freak types that take pleasure bossing others around. I am always a get-along, libertarian type, so super-authoritarian folks can be a turnoff.
@@jdhjimbo Yes Jim, our HOA fees are very resonable for the ameneties they provide! Condos are another animal, the regime fees can be very expensive. I actually hear that some of our boards are more on the lenient side compared to what some homeowners prefer!
Great job….Thanks
Thanks for watching and the nice feedback!😀
Great tour of Lady's Island! It looks beautiful!
