I majored in the North Korean Studies at Korea University in South Korea. The song 《Shining Fatherland》, or 《빛나는 조국》, is a different song from the DPRK's national anthem 《Patriotic Song》, or 《애국가》. Although 《Shining Fatherland》 and 《Patriotic Song》 were the top two candidates for the DPRK's national anthem in the past, Kim Il Sung had chosen the current national anthem 《Patriotic Song》 as the national anthem of the DPRK. Though Kim Il Sung did say that 《Shining Fatherland》 is also a well-made song that represents the spirit of the people and the country, you may use it as the de-facto 2nd national anthem of the country. That is the reason why the KCTV is starting with the national anthem 《Patriotic Song》 and closing with 《Shining Fatherland》, but those two are different songs. The above statement of mine and that of Kim Il Sung's are presented from the KCTV's documentary about their national anthem.
This is the most recent 《Shining Fatherland》 played during the 75th Anniversary of the DPRK: th-cam.com/video/n6MyON4hrfA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DCvkV-knMemNKIRt And this is the national anthem 《Patriotic Song》: th-cam.com/video/b2qyv19L0Ew/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bJ6x2wTx1CgDYASA You can see the people standing up and military personnel saluting the flag during the play of the national anthem, but not during the play of 《Shining Fatherland》.

it seems to be recorded in 1980s
No, it does not. You just dislike the country because you are brainwashed and, therefore, are unable to accept any positive things related to it.
Believe it or no, they just got 1080p
By the time they get 4K, will have flying cars.
